I was given Clomid, first month didn't make me ovulate, second month did. I was then given a further 4 months supply to try on the basis that it was now working to make me ovulate. On the 3rd month, I'm now on day 39 of my cycle and no period and I'm not pregnant so this is probably an indication that it has not worked this month. The issue I have is that I don't get regular periods and clomid was the only thing making me get a period, but I of course can't start the next cycle without a period. I'm scared to ask the hospital for provera to force a period because I have a feeling they'll say I can't continue with clomid because they were very strict in the fact this can only be used for 6 months if it is working and it seems it has only worked 1 month out of 3.
Does anyone have any advice on what to do please? I was starting to become really positive that things were going in the right direction and then this month I feel like I'm back to where I started which is real struggle.
Thanks!

Thanks. I think I'm already on the highest (3 per day). I'm just fearful that they'll say I have to stop as I was only allowed 2 rounds if it didn't work
Try not to worry too much about treatment as clomid is often just the 1st step Call your clinic and discuss your concerns with them Might be an idea to take a look at our website fertlitynetworkuk.org Access Support to find a support group near you for some peer support
If you’re open to it, you could also ask about using letrozole. I used clomid and it thinned out my lining too much (also made me not feel so great). So they switched me to letrozole. Just throwing it out as an option if you hadn’t already considered.
Thank you! I'm going to email them today and see what they say. I've generally been ok on clomid, apart from being overly emotional 😂 I think I just get a little apprehensive about asking too much from the hospital because I'm not really eligible for any treatment at the minute due to my BMI being too high, and they were kind enough to let me try clomid x
