what if I stop taking Zytiga?
Diagnosed about 14 months ago with metastasis to spine and prostate bed. Started Lupron and Zytiga w/ prednisone. I have seriously struggled staying on Zytiga. The usual side effects are bad enough but three months ago my blood pressure spiked to 222/110 sending me to the ER. I’ve never had high blood

Dutasteride and PSA dropping
I started taking dustasteride about 1 month ago because of high DHT and my PSA dropped from 10 to 5.5. I've read that you are supposed to double the PSA to get an "equivalent" non-dutasteride level of 11. Does anyone understand why we are supposed to double the PSA value when taking dutasteride?

When to do certain blood tests and why.
Just coming up on my 6 month anniversary of radiation and my 2 months prior to radiation and 4 months post Lupron while on radiation. So I have been off Lupron for 2 months. I had my annual physical yesterday and my GP had ordered complete blood panel with thyroid and PSA. There were no issues with blood

PSA in again at undetectable which I am assuming means my testosterone is not recovering . No T result yet but 0.5 last month! Still on Apalutamide as a monotherapy but coming off that too is bouncing around my head. Would love to go med free, still watching all developments and still no idea of the

Prostate cancer radiotherapy side effects.
I’m a seventy seven year old who had a radical prostatectomy eight years ago. Following one of my regular PSA tests the result showed, after scans in September 2023, a return in the prostate bed and adjacent lymph nodes. Began hormone implants straight away followed by twenty doses of targeted radiotherapy

herbicide and recurrence
I'm looking for scientific evidence on herbicide exposure and cancer recurrence. Background: My condo association wants to spray my lawn with herbicide. (2-4-d & dicamba; thankfully not glyphosate--at least not yet) I've asked them not to and suggested safer alternatives. They say I'm being a PIA

salvage radiation after surgery?
Hi - Shouldn’t I be doing salvage radiation or chemotherapy now? I had my surgery February 25 and Doctor wants to wait for first PSA iat end of May. However surgical pathology showed negative margins but showed intraductal, cribriform, loss of PTEN. and PNI. Even though there was no EPE, no SVI, No LVI

Cause for concern?
Would you please comment on the following article which may mean a new PET scan is required I'm my case? ( I Hope not!!) Extract from a recent article which is double Dutch to me!!! "...... Ignorant/lazy docs only take notice of the PSA, when it is widely known that at low PSA PSADT is equally, if not

RP + Radiation Question
I received biopsy confirmation of my advanced prostate cancer on Aug 29 and PET in September confirmed node positivity. I'm 43yo. No distant metastasis. I am working with a multidisciplinary team (UO, MO, and RO) with Kaiser in Anaheim, CA. Based on an analysis of the PET, the team believed it was unlikely

Anyone have a success story with Dr. Gary Onik?
Hello, Have any of you had success being treated by Dr. Gary Onik metastatic stage 4 prostate cancer with immuno and cryotherapy? Would greatly appreciate any success stories on getting into remission or being cured by his treatments. Also, if you had a bad experience or got worse from his treatment

Constipation is a known issue with the Orgovyx
I've been on Orgovyx (Relugolix) for around 2.5 years now. and find myself getting increasingly constipated. It's the most tenacious SE. My labs are all stable and my PSA is stable at <0.02. But I'm now on 4 types of laxatives and next am planning on getting an enema and trying that. I have an appt with

Radiotherapy for prostate local and retroperitoneal nodes
ADT of lupron and abiraterone has been pretty tolerable so far, almost four months - maybe I got cocky. Started my SBRT 28 fraction 70 Gy radiotherapy four days ago, mild to moderate urinary urgency and some burn started almost immediately. Diarrhea started at night after day four, mild so far. How

Another miracle cure :)
Any opinions on sodium chloro acetate. I am anxious to try an herbicide on my cancer :) but seriously if you google a bit there is some sense to the explanations as to how it might help to reduce cancer. Anyone try this
