Any opinions on sodium chloro acetate. I am anxious to try an herbicide on my cancer but seriously if you google a bit there is some sense to the explanations as to how it might help to reduce cancer. Anyone try this

Good Morning David,
Like you, my PSA rose from 2.0 to 29 in the year (2012) between annual physicals! Biopsy revealed Gleason 9sand 10s, so no surgery was suggested. Immediately began triple hormonal blockade of Lupron, Casodex, and Avodart. As someone else mentioned, 4 years ago chemo was reserved for a more end stage treatment, but now it is used much earlier for aggressive PCa.
What I have learned in the past 4 years is to find the "best" Medical Oncologist that you can afford who specializes in aggressive prostate cancer. I have been fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Charles "Snuffy" Myers. Secondly, you have to know where your cancer is to be able to effectively treat it. For locating soft tissue (lymph nodes), the current state of art is Carbon-11 Acetate PET/CT done by Dr. Fabio Almeida at Phoenix Molecular Imaging. For locating bone mets, the current state of art is F-18 Sodium Fluoride PET/CT, which can be done at many imaging centers.
Diet matters as does exercise and and emotional well-being. Sad to say, but being sick can become a full-time job.
I was 65 at diagnosis and 4 years later have taken every drug in the universe to combat this disease! As a friend of mine who is one the same journey says, "If we live long enough, we will be saved by the new treatments". Much truth in that.
Best wishes on your journey. Stay positive and stay educated.

John, this Carbon-11 acetate (c-11 acetate) was a trial that Dr. Almeida in Phoenix was running (my husband had this scan in the latter part of 2018) to try to improve on the results of C-11 choline which was brought to FDA approval by Kwon at Mayo RST. It used a different ligand to Kwon's C-11 choline. The scan proved to be less effective than C-11 choline or Axumin - and then F-18 DCFPyL (Pylarify) and Gallium 68 (Illucix) came along and gained FDA approval.
Are you perhaps referring to dichloroacetate (DCA)? ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
I found this:
There is evidence that DCA is effective for many types of cancer cells. Based on both lab studies and human studies along with case reports, the types of cancer studied thus far include brain, breast, cervical, colon, lung, lymphoma, ovarian, prostate, uterine, and cancer of an unknown primary source.

Is dichloroacetate FDA approved?
US Food and Drug Administration Approval
There is not enough evidence that dichloroacetate is effective in the fight against cancer, and it has not been approved by the FDA for cancer treatment.
Note: It appears to be a hit as a salad dressing..........

Funny you should post on this, but no joking I just started taking DCA a few days ago. I heard good things about it's anticancer effects. One must do the homework and learn the do's and don't before taking. From what I read so far it works well in combo with Fenben, Ivermectin, and very much so with curcumin. Along with Zeolite (ultra fine ) as a carrier agent. So much is said about the benefits of Zeolite . Best site to learn about dca is ..... dcaguide.org/
Hello 85745 where do you purchase your DCA? I did find this on Amazon for example. Thanks for your post
i have been taking iver for a while now and have fenben on my list to ask about when i have appointment with UCSF integrative studies i will probably be starting pluvicto so have to be careful about starting other stuff until that is over or maybe i will decide to not do the pluvicto if my PSA is not going crazy
There’s not much research published on dichloroacetate for treatment of prostate cancer. It all seems to be invitro. Here’s a paper about canine prostate cancer and synogistic effects with metformin. Of course there’s nothing in research for the drug companies because dichloroacetate is unpatentable.

Abstract
An important approach in tumor therapy is combining substances with different action mechanisms aiming to enhance the antineoplastic effect, decrease the therapeutic dosage, and avoid resistance mechanisms. Moreover, evaluating compounds already approved for the treatment of non-neoplastic diseases is promising for new antineoplastic therapies. Sodium dichloroacetate (DCA) reactivates oxidative phosphorylation in the cancer cell mitochondria, reducing apoptosis resistance in cancer cells. Furthermore, metformin inhibits the proliferation of tumor cells and CD133+ cancer -stem-like cells. In the present study, we evaluated the independent and synergistic effect of metformin and DCA on the metabolic activity, cell proliferation, and apoptosis of a canine prostate adenocarcinoma (Adcarc1258) and a transitional cell carcinoma cell line (TCC1506) in comparison to a primary canine fibroblast culture. Determining metformin uptake in tumor cells was performed by quantitative HPLC. Depending on the dosage, metformin as a single agent inhibited the metabolic activity and cell proliferation of the tumor cells, showing only minor effects on the fibroblasts. Furthermore, 1 mM metformin increased apoptosis over 96 h in the tumor cell lines but not in fibroblasts. Additionally, metformin uptake into the tumor cells in vitro was measurable by quantitative HPLC. Synergistic effects for the combination therapy were observed in both neoplastic cell lines as well as in the fibroblasts. Based on these results, metformin might be a promising therapeutic agent for canine urogenital tumors. Further studies on kinetics, toxicology, bioavailability, and application of metformin in dogs are necessary.
Woof woof where do I sign up?
I think you mean Sodium Dichloroacetate (DCA). I have had good results with DCA. It kept my PSA low for 3 1/2 years.
One side effect is peripheral neuropathy.
yes that is the stuff i have looked everywhere for it if anyone thinks it would be safe, it can be gotten from China for $495 perr kg i am asking about purity but from China who knows that is a very good price compared to 25 grams for $75 to $100 which would be about $3000 for the same quantity anyone want to share?
