Lymparza not working

hi..my husband was initially diagnosed stage 4b in 2020. He did well on chemo, and lupron. He is also on xgeva. He then went on zytiga for about 7 months before it started failing. He did get accepted in the luteciun trial at Penn on control arm. He did very well on Xtandi but was ended this past Aug when Penn saw progression but the trial folks did not so no cross over allowed. After several more scans he still showed more progression but trial folks still did not so he dropped out and went on Lymparza end of Aug. He has done well on all his treatments for no longer then 8-10 months but not with Lymparza . He does have a braca mutation. Lymparza has done nothing for him and at 2 month check, psa doubled. Today at 4 month check psa doubled again. Needless to say we are so upset because the dr really believed he would do well. I am struggling to understand why Lymparza has done nothing. We are waiting to hear back on next steps. Any information or thoughts you may have are appreciated. Thanks for listening.

In the PROpel trial, they combined Zytiga and Lynparza.

If that doesn't work, try docetaxel+carboplatin.

Thanks will ask about the possibility of going back on zytiga. He went off of that and went on Xtandi originally.

I am BRCA2 positive. Been on a full dose of Lynparza with Lupron and Zytiga for 6 weeks now. Cut my PSA by 2 points. Hoping for even better news in 6 more weeks

My dad is going to start with Lynparza and Zytiga (+ dexamethasone). How do you time your medicines throughout the day?

Take my Zytiga as soon as I wake up. Then eat after an hour then take Lynparza with a yogurt. Had some stomach trouble for a while but this seems to have managed it well. Last PSA reading was .70
