Hello - I'm about to return to the Mayo for the first review since my previous visit last November. As I've reported here, my last major treatment was chemo with cabazitaxel at the Oncology Center in Nicosia, Cyprus, where I live. This was successful: PSA fell from 83 at the start of chemo to about 3

Do you that have had Orchiectomy still take ATD Medication?
I’ve been told that I will be on ATD meds for life, I’m 63 and have been taking Lupron and Zytiga for going on two years. I asked my MO about Orchiectomy and he said if I did it he would still recommend Lupron. Can you guys please share your thoughts and experiences? Thank you in advance

Anyone out there try the carnivore diet.
I have been on a low carb diet since my diagnosis back in March of 2023 . Eligard and Erleada have got my PSA down from 195 down to 0.01. I have been watching a lot of YouTube video's touting the health benefits of a carnivore diet. So far the only prostate diet person posting video's on YouTube that

PSA Testing Scandal Repost
This was my first post two years ago. It was about the scandal of my diagnosis. I don't think much has changed. Basically PSA testing is a good thing. https://healthunlocked.com/advanced-prostate-cancer/posts/148930895/psa-testing-scandal-lost-years-of-life-updated-re-qol [i]Posted later - please see

In vitro but...fighting bone metastasis
Currently they have tested it on metastasis of breast cancer, but hopefully it could work for all bone metastasis https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/1032208

Final Pluvicto shot and things OK
I just had my 6th, and final, injection. Feeling well but everyone concerned with kidney function dropping -- hopefully transient and not an on-going trend, on the plus side this is the last time it has to deal with all that radioactive liquid. Chugging water and peeing like a champ! To review:

Abiraterone, Prednisone, Apalutamide combo Improves Prostate Cancer Outcomes, Leaves HRQoL Unaffected
Oncological outcomes improved with the addition of abiraterone acetate (Zytiga) plus prednisone (AAP) and apalutamide (Erleada) after radical prostatectomy and did not significantly affect health-related quality of life. https://www.targetedonc.com/view/abiraterone-prednisone-apalutamide-improves-prostate-cancer-outcomes-leaves-hrqol-unaffected

Radio 4 programme today
just listened to today's Food Programme at 15.30 via the BBC Sounds app. Really really interesting about the effect of nutrition on the brain and the importance of omega 3. It's half an hour and a must to listen to in my opinion.

Firmagon vs Lupron
So, the question is what are the up or downs if switching from Firmagon to Lupron. I used Orgovyx until it didn't work, switched to Firmagon. Wanted either due to family history with heart issues. Dad, uncle's, brothers, all having issues. One brother recently having a major HA... But the convenience
