Air Travel to India with cirrhosis
Hello everyone - Hope you all had a good Christmas. I'm hoping someone out there can help me re my flight to Goa on 7 Jan. Diagnosed with cirrhosis 6 months ago
First time writing here. Discovering low platelets on routine CBC led to the diagnosis of cirrhosis. Never drank but have had problems with weight over the last 15 years. LFTs have always run a little high, but not to extreme, just a little elevated. Diagnosed with diabetes 6 years ago due to weight

Quick intro
I’m a 62 year old Carer for my husband, I was diagnosed with HepC and cirrhosis in October 2017, this came as a total shock and I have no idea where I caught it or how long I’ve had it. I am currently being treated for the HepC and they’ve also found stomach varices ... scary times. I live in Cheshire

cause of death alcoholic liver disease / life insurance won't pay
quick query...has anyone had a loved one pass away from cirrhosis (I did in October) and insurance are refusing to pay out? It all seems so unfair on the people left behind who have lived with an alcoholic and the problems this brings, having looked after them through difficult and distressing times

New Regimen of Sotalol
Could anyone please advise of what my EP's strategy may be. I must explain that I have a history of ventricular tachycardia and Ido have an AICD implanted which has discharged multiple time. Yes I have been extremely lucky so far. I recently changed to a new EP who immediately placed a 24 hr. Holter

Gynecomastia. Common in liver disease patients.
Over the past few years I've developed gynecomastia (man boobs) I'm healthy and not over weight and I see its due to the liver over producing estrogen when it's damaged. It's got to the point that I'm so conscious of my breast tissue that I worry people will assume I'm pre op transgender. Does anyone

Need help understanding
so my wife has been a heavy drinker for a good part of 30 years now. The other week her hands became very red and "blotchy" looking. she had also been itching for a good week when she read it "could" be related to liver disease We paid for an abdominal scan the next day which scanned all sorts around
