Fatty Liver - So worried
I gave up drinking about 3 years ago with some 'blips' along the way where I tried moderation which I absolutely know now does not work. However, the dragging sensation I used to get in my liver area when I used to take a drink has persisted into sobriety. I approached the doctor to look into this in

Diagnose Liver Cirrhosis
I've told before that I doubted my diagnose concerning my liver. You can read my previous posts if u would like to. I remember two and a half years ago I had highly elevated values in my blood, a swolen, painfull liver and I could feel my spleen. Further I told the specialist I had blood coming from

transplant evaluation and right heart catheter
hello, partner due at the royal free next week and as part of evaluation has been booked for a right heart catheter. Has anyone had one, is it awful? How quickly did you recover. He was expecting to have to have one so its not a terrible shock

Hi, I am really in good shape after the Wolf mini maze. I am almost off all medications and only some few PVCs occasionally., I am here to tell you that The Wolf mini maze is amazing and that Doctor Wolf is amazing. I wish more surgeons would learn how to do this procedure. I am horrified by all the

Sertraline and Sotalol
Apologies as I have already posted this on a previous thread, but I think other fellow AFibbers need to be aware of this. I was recently put on a low does of Sertraline (an anti depressant) as a treatment for IBS, as had the most horrendous abdominal cramps that over the counter medications barely touched

6 month post mini maze (surgical ablation) in the U.K. All is going well, no regrets
hello you lovely lot. I thought I would give you an update as I have had my 6 month (and final eeeek) review with my mini maze surgeon Mr Hunter this morning. All has been going well, in sinus rythm since my mini maze. I had a two week heart monitor a few weeks ago, all good! I have a low burden

Cold Turkey Stop of Bisoprolol for PVC’s Change to Diltiazem
Hi, I’m a healthy 45 yr old female recently diagnosed with high rate of PVC’s. My heart is healthy, no damage but I’m being referred by my current cardiologist and waiting for an MRI and appointment with a specialist in another city as he said it looks like I’ll need an ablation as the meds have not

Hard uncomfortable thumps.
I have various heart issues, including AF, PACs, PVCs and sinus tachycardia during panic attacks. However, recently I've experienced the occasional strong, thumping beat (which is lso a tiny bit painful). I've only ever experienced these thumps one at a time - they never manifest as couplets, triplets

good platelet count
my husbands platelet count is and has been really good at 277. I have heard elsewhere( not professionally but from an excellent source) that he is unlikely to have cirrhosis with this reading. He was diagnosed with decompensated cirrhosis earlier this year with many symptoms. He is almost back to being

Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction Type 1 with cirrhosis of the liver
I had an Endoscopic ultrasound on Tuesday where they confirmed I have Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction (SOD) Type 1. Last week I was diagnosed with cirrhosis with a score of 22.5. I'm still not sure what this score really means except I'm in the risk category (20-25). A score over 25 is high risk. I'm a
