Loosing my dad....
Hi I've posted on here a while ago but not recently. I lost my dad to cirrhosis in September 2017. Since then I've been through a mixture of emotions, which I know is all part of grief. However at the moment I really feel the medical team let him down and I didn't fight hard enough for him. He started

Hi all Tomorrow is my birthday, not a special one, but yes it is a very special one as this time last year I was very, very ill. My OH, not used to big shows of emotion, was very sweet today when he said how happy he is today as this time last year he was so very worried about me. I was 52 on 26

What beta blocker is the best for PVCs/pacs
I really feel like I need to start it now. For 3 days when I’m walking around I’m getting constant PVCs every few seconds. Double me over. Doctor says my hearts healthy ..deal with it.

SLOW BOAT TO KNOW WHERE
I'm going to have a small moan. I'm with the QE hosi in Brum and God only knows how good they are. They were amazing during my 1st liver transplant but I did go in under the super emergency list. This time though I feel like I'm being messed around. My liver packed up last Dec and was placed bk on the

Another ablation?
I have had 2 unsuccessful catheter ablations for PVCs and bigeminy which are non life threatening but difficult to live with - currently back on flecainide 2x50mg - my cardiologist is now talking of possible epicardially approach using RMT stereotaxis ??? Anyone have experience of this ?

Hello and my story.
Hello guys. My name is Paul and I have suffered with PVC's, SVT's and slight AF since I was 22, I am now 47. I have had so many 24 hour monitors and ECG's I have lost count. As you all know, your body goes into stealth mode and hides all your symptoms when you have any tests done lol. This has been

Decompensated cirrhosis with ascites and varices prognosis
Hi, my brother is an alcoholic and recently came to stay with us as he had been asked to leave his rented accommodation. MRI, MRCP, due next week
In for another MRI this time MRCP too, I suppose it must be about PSC, but I just turn up and enjoy the rest. I have an appointment with the consultant in mid June, do you think I should ask for the MRI results before that, so I might know what questions to ask? Just to keep you all amused this is my

UTI/endo on bladder?
The beginning of me finally realising there was something wrong with my body started with having a UTI that didn’t clear with two lots of antibiotics. I insisted it wasn’t a UTI because it didn’t sting when I wee’d or any of the usual symptoms. Anyway, they then suspected appendicitis and whilst in hospital

Brutal Stomach Pain
I have severe PVCs so my cardiologist put me on brutal drug. It caused constipation and severe stomach pain. My shortness of breath is scary at times. I have read about not stopping it but I'm desperate and can take no more. I have ablation July 3rd and the dr told me to stop it a week before but said

Yellow eyes and rude strangers?
Hi, Hope you are all as well as you can be. Just a really quick one from me about Bilirubin ( I say quick, a rant more like 😂) It’s been a year and my levels are not dropping as quickly and still higher then doctors have expected, I do have portal hypertension but if anything that has calmed down firstly

Ablation & PVCs
Hi I’ve been diagnosed with DCM with a very low EF of 35%. Since leaving hospital with an ICD I’ve had numerous shocks due to extended runs of VT. After my last hospital visit I started on amiodarone 200mg and felt fantastic, due to this my ablation was put on hold. For the past few weeks my PVCs

Does anyone have episodes of constant burping allied to premature ventricular contractions
My GP thought I had a couple of episodes of paroxysmal AF but undiagnosed, the consultant says that I have prem ventricular contractions. I have no medication but sometimes feel unwell and my own monitor does register irregular heartbeats sometimes. I get periods of burping during these times and wondered

Interesting Read.....I'm going to give Raw eating a try. What can it hurt?
It wasn't until May of 2006 that a liver specialist diagnosed me with
Primary
Biliary
Cirrhosis
(
PBC
). He did a liver biopsy to confirm this. I not only had PBC, but I was in the last stages. PBC is a liver disease that there is no cure for at this time.

Help needed possible hashimotos or is it fibromyalgia
Just got blood results from GP after difficulty in obtaining a copy. I thought TSH tested but no test done! I was diagnosed initially by myself and confirmed by GP with fibromyalgia in 2016. I believe (although now don't know) that thyroid tested in April 2015 when I went to gp with pain, stiffness,

Is my loop recorder working it’s way out?
Hi all, I’m new here, I have a question I’m hoping you can help me with. Got my St Jude implant just over a month ago. It’s a neat piece of technology that works with a smartphone they gave me (it communicates via Bluetooth with the smartphone and the phone sends data to the cardiologist). Really glad
