In for another MRI this time MRCP too, I suppose it must be about PSC, but I just turn up and enjoy the rest. I have an appointment with the consultant in mid June, do you think I should ask for the MRI results before that, so I might know what questions to ask?

Just to keep you all amused this is my medical week

I went for a Dexta scan at Addenbrookes about three weeks ago, no results thru to gp, phoned Dexta unit who were very helpful. Yes , results had been sent, they were sent to my referring GP. I told them I had moved GP and they had that on record, yes we do, they said, we ALWAYS send the results to the referring GP. Oh I said, but that is not my GP anymore, (I have moved home), they suggested they COULD send the results to my current GP, the details of which they had on record. I accepted this suggestion and I asked if I could have a copy, answer No.

Letter from my consultant to GP on ultrasound of pelvis and liver

"Just to let you know ultrasound scan is as follows, thankfully no now worrisome features" (sic)

Interesting but positive, I think I still have cirrhosis, but probably not cancer was my interpretation.

DVLA medical section wrote to me, I passed all my medical and blood tests, but they still were not satisfied! so wrote to tell me they were writing to my consultant. To check I was capable of driving. Two GPs have now said I am. The DVLA has written to the wrong consultant, at a hospital I have never been to. I have provided my information to the DVLA on at least 3 separate occasions going back to September, but they decide to do this the day before my licence should come back.

I am tipping between laughing and crying, it is all so frustrating, sorry to rant on x Mel
