PVC and bigeminies post-ablation - healing time?
I am new to the forum, 58 y, moderately fit (used to swim 500-1000 metres, hike for 3-4 hours with 300-400m hills) had 10 weeks ago my second ablation for symptomatic frequent PVC (bigeminies, couplets, NSVT). First was semi-successful for 3 years. The PVC temporarily reduced just before the ablation

I am not exactly sure where to post this and so I hope this is the proper place. I have been having dizzy/lightheaded (not room spin dizzy) spells since 2010. They started off being a rare occurrence, once every several months lasting a second or so but starting last year they have become much more

I was diagnosed about 6 weeks ago with cirrhosis and varices in the spleen. I went for another abdo scan yesterday and parts of it were really sore. The left side where she was checking the spleen and left kidney were particularly bad. I'm going to see my gp next Thursday as he'll have the report by

Constant Head Pressure
I have been having pressure in my head pretty much all the time. I also have some dizziness and occasional pain and more frequent bowel movements. This has been going on for almost 2 months now. I have hypothyroidism for which I take Levothyroxin. I just had my TSH level checked in June and my med

Very Painful Thigh Muscles
Cirrhosis and thigh cramp Hi all - I have been diagnosed with compensated cirrhosis for nearly two years now. I see a Consultant regularly and am on a surveillance programme. Last time I saw him I had been having ‘bad consistent, and constant’ thigh pain. I have not had alcohol for over 20 months now

Varices in spleen
After being told that I won't see a specialist until november about my cirrhosis diagnosis I have arranged to see a gastroenterologist at 6pm tonight. My gp hadn't seen the liver ultrasound report just a letter from the haematologist who referred me for it. After numerous phone calls to the xray department

Spider naevie
I have had spider naevie for about 18 months but they have probably doubled in the last 8 months or so. They were originally just on my arms but now they're all over my chest, back and even on my face. I am waiting to see a specialist after my cirrhosis diagnosis. Will they ever go away or am I going

Why beta-blockers for portal hypertension, rather than blood pressure reducing drugs?
Hi My Mum has recently been diagnosed with NAFLD and stage 1 cirrhosis and she has been prescribed beta-blockers. We were just wondering why beta blockers have been prescribed rather than the usual blood pressure reducing drugs? Does anybody know why this is? Not saying it's wrong, just wondering

Cirrhosis question
So my dad was diagnosed with de compensated cirrhosis a few months ago. He's been drained twice but it seems a tad better since they upped his water pills. He tells me everything is ok, but that is hard to believe. He's still working even tho Drs say he absolutely shouldn't be. He says his score was

Heat issues after ablation
Had what we thought was successful first ablation in January. At the end of June I started having issues with pvcs and tachycardia. I was on vacation at hit beach in North Carolina and had a ton of horrible episodes. I’m now back on rhythmol and cardizem and see cardio Monday. Landed in urgent care

What to do
Diagnosed a year ago with cirrhosis caused from NASH. I never have drank. I am overweight. My last visit to hepatologist was depressing after she answered some questions for me. It was my last visit to her until I can get insurance again as I just lost mine after losing my job after 13 years due to computer
