A strange couple of weeks!
Went for a blood test a couple of weeks ago as I noticed I was looking jaundice both skin and eyes. The results... Bilirubin 70 ALT 39 GGT 67 Albumin 55 Well I’ve been extremely worried the last couple of weeks, trying to find answers on Google as you do. Literally going out my mind. Had an US scan

Supraventricular Ectopy and premature ventricular contractions
I have been experiencing the above almost permanent since last Friday . I normally have PAF and ectopics from time to time . It’s been suggested by my cardiac nurse to start Flecanide 50mg twice a day . I’ve had a blood test but no ecg/echo . They want a ecg 2 weeks after I start the flecanide.

Heart Monitor for PVCs/Bigeminy
I developed PVCs/bigeminy & shortness of breath after my 2nd Pfizer shot. I was referred to a cardiologist and I'm now on a heart monitor for a week and will have a treadmill stress test in 3 weeks. Shortness of breath is gone, thankfully, and I feel good. What is my doctor looking for on the monitor

Sleep and heart health.
Does anybody know if there is a possible link between poor sleep/insomnia and heart health ? The reason is I have always been poor sleeper due mainly to work shift patterns. I also have a slightly obstructive airway by way of a long suffered deviated septum. Over the past couple of years I have been

PVC’s - Did You Ever Find The Cause?
Just that really! Out of the blue started suffering frequent symptomatic PVCs. I’m having the symptoms treated but have no idea what’s the cause. Does anyone who suffers with them know what causes theirs? Does finding out help make them stop?

Low platelets, ITP and SLE
I read somewhere that if you have a low platelet count, mine is 38/40 , not to have the Pheizer jab. Does anyone have any knowledge of this. I am currently not on any medication. Thank you. Stay safe, stay warm.

High heart rate at night
I have been suffering from night time PVC 's for around five years. I have had every test under the sun incuding angiogrammes and calcium scoring, only to conclude that there is just normal wear and tear on my heart. However recently things have been getting worse and my heart rate ( I wear a wrist

Are you heart palpitations this severe?
Hi, I am a 38 yo female who has been experiencing heart palpitations my entire adult life. I have had Holters, ECGs, and echos, and only PVCs and suspected inappropriate sinus tachycardia have been diagnosed. I have learned to live harmoniously with the occasional flip-flops and tachycardia. However,

Heart rate still high after exercise
I recently purchased a heart rate monitor that you wear as a watch and noticed when I exercise and get my heart rate to 110 bpm let’s say after walking up a hill etc, my heart rate is still late 90’s for up to a hour after. Or sometimes it just stays not much lower than my peak heart rate. I get

5 times larger stroke risk
I know, I should have written this as a response to what BigArnie has posted lately, but since there are so many comments to his post, people most probably would miss to read it. Fatty liver scan results
Hi, I posted here a few weeks ago after getting raised LFTs in blood tests. I was referred for an ultrasound scan and just got the results. The summary said ‘ diffuse fatty infiltration/parenchymal disease.’ It also mentioned slightly bulky liver. The practise nurse who called me about it said it could

Fluid Buildup and Liver Dysfunction
So my friend's blood pressure stabilized after a drop that occurred after ascites drained. But his reports show his liver is functioning only 10% and fluid has accumulated all over body, including lungs. Will they be able to drain the fluid? What can we expect in terms of recovery?

Brain scan
We have finally received the results of my Husbands brain scan he had on 2nd January. As if having cirrhosis of the liver (non alcoholic) isn’t bad enough, he now has a bleed on the brain. GP initially thought he may have had a stroke because he has been leaning over to the right but now confirms
