I have just received my scan results, having to push to get the results from the surgeon.
The Fibroscan returned a reading of 23.4 kPa. The cause for my Cirrhosis of the Liver is due to non-alcohol fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Also, the gastroscopy I underwent demonstrates small varices (a dilated vein) within the oesophagus (gullet).
I have volunteered to join a trial that starts early in 2022 to see whether or not particular medications have any impact on the progression of these dilated veins.
I will keep you posted how the trial is working or not (fingers crossed it does).
Regards
Mick
