I recently had LFT done. All came back in normal range except my albumin was 39 albeit in range that’s the lowest I’ve had. I’ve been worried about the amount I’ve drunk over the years. Always wine approx 30 units a week. I do not have any symptoms. I’ve read you can have cirrhosis withoutsymptoms initially. Is it possible that reduced albumin could be the first sign of liver disease?

Normal range is normal range regardless of where within the range you fall. If it was lower than normal range then it would be flagged for concern. Dangerously lowered albumin (which your isn't) is normally associated with symptoms of very advanced cirrhosis at the decompensated stage so it wouldn't be the first sign. If low albumin was an issue would would be more symptomatic and more than likely have other deranged bloods.
30 units a week though is more than double the recommended so called safe alcohol intake so before you do indeed come a cropper perhaps you seriously need to assess your relationship with alcohol.
Hello watersk,. You must of had a blood test to find out your albumin levels. If the doctor thought they were seriously low, he/she would of mentioned a problem.
Try not to worry, everyone is obsessed with cirrhosis, just live a normal life, it you are that worried then pay for the scans required to find out. It takes a hell of a lot to start Cirrhosis (just through drinking).
Do you goggle everything by any chance?
Positive attitude not everything is doom and gloom. The last thing on my mind with a albumin count of 39 would be cirrhosis.
Owe and you can't tell if you have Cirrhosis from a blood test.....relax until a doctor says otherwise....
