Microbiome Community in overdrive! Read on if you're a fan of Tim Specter and Mary Berry!! And be warned......
I dutifully log in to the Zoe Covid app and have become a fan of Tim Specter with his other hat on - that of Gut Health. From advice on here I've done ,well, not quite my best to follow a low carb diet if I'm honest. So when Mary Berry made her Nordic seed and nut loaf with almost no carbs and full of

Newly diagnosed with asthma - need help!
I have been suffering with breathing difficulties for 2 years, following a severe chest infection. My breathing never got back to normal. I've tried to get help from the GP several times, but was told for the first year that 'it takes time to recover from chest infections' and in the second year that

creatine ?
I have a question please - have tried, but without success to find an answer : I have a good eGFR result, but my creatine is high - I am sticking to a low protein diet which has helped raise my eGFR but has no affect on my high creatine level? What can I do to bring my creatine level down ? Also,

I started almost a year ago with this diagnosis, unfortunately. I had biopsies in February to confirm cirrhosis.
Since then I dropped 40 pounds, changed to low carb, walk a lot, drink coffee, take asparagus extract, milk thistle, vitamin e. Collagen, and Actos. Was hoping for lower number, but progress is progress! Down to NASH 3 and 33% of my liver. Not sure what the numbers on the right mean?? I weigh 125

Peak flow readings
Hi , my gp requested 2 weeks of peak flow readings (since having a pacemaker then becoming seriously unwell with pericarditis and an effusion this time last year) I get out of breath on exertion , my cardiologist has assured me there’s nothing cardiac causing my breathlessness so gp is thinking possible

How do we assemble our cumulative CKD knowledge so that it's a) digestible and b) easily accessible to all?
An impossible task (especially with the HealthUnlocked format) but it seems there's great knowledge out here amongst us .. but no way to assemble it in an easily accessible place. We seem doomed to repeating ourselves and having useful information 'slip down the page' and out of view. How on earth

Good news, it can be reversed.
Good news . I have reversed my F2 to F0 in two years through low carb diet and exercise. Loose weight, clean diet and exercise really work. Be optimistic.

Non STEMI
I am new here, I had a non STEMI 2 months ago and was prescribed the most common medications, I.e. Ticegralor, Bisoprolol, Artovastatin and Aspirin. I was fortunate that the angiogram and subsequent ultrasound indicated there was no apparent damage to the heart muscle and I have recovered fully. No

Peake flow personal best
Hey guys, Just wanted to know how often people adjust their personal best peak flow? Mine is currently set at 500 but I've been done at 85% of that for at least a month now. Just want to get an idea of everybody else's timings.

Latest Test results. What to try next.....
I've been on Levo for 12 months. I will be talking to my GP next week who will probably say my results are fine. My main problem is digestive and lower abdominal bloating with constipation a major factor. GP test results(only tests TSH and T4, tested 20th Oct) TSH1.29 range (0.27-4.2) T4 18.1 range

Peak Flow reading too high?
I'm currently being tested for asthma as I've been coughing for 3 months straight and having problems with breath in the cold. I've been told to use a peak flow meter twice a day, the reading I got was around 550 in the doctors and this is around my expected value. However, since getting a Medi Standard

Pulmicort turbohaler
I was prescribed a Pulmicort turbohaler last week by my gp after sending two weeks of peak flow readings. When you use it can you taste anything as I don’t know whether I’m actually using it properly , I have an appointment with the asthma nurse Friday but just thought I’d ask on here . Thank you x
