Went to the GP...again.
Dear all, Have you noticed how easy it is to give advice to each other but yet never follow your own advice yourself? Let’s be honest, we all share our experiences and reassure each other but we struggle to apply it to ourselves. For example, I promised myself to stop seeking reassurance from my lovely

Feeling of something stuck in throat constantly— HELP! Advice needed
Has anyone had the feeling of something stuck in their throat? No matter what I do, it won’t go away!!! It has been over a month. I went to the urgent care in late December and got prescribed 10 day round of antibiotics, steroid and inhaler. They claimed it was probably sinus infection and bronchitis

Medication over 25years
I was diagnosed me with PTSD as well as depression Changing had so many different types of medication and don't feel I'm getting anywhere. Currently on mirtazapine, pregabalin and lamotrigine too. So exhausted and tired of trying My psychiatrist now says there are not many other meds I can try. Trying

this may be a stupid question
Could seeing seeing a loved one pass away at home be considered part of PTSD? Only reason I'm asking is because I watched my mom suffer from cancer and past away at home. Also my natural father past away from cancer and never saw him at the end since my parents were divorced he would cancel his turn

W6R1 - something weird just happened
Whilst on the warm up walk I started the usual internal pep talk to motivate myself, when I realised it wasn’t the usual pre-run nerves I was experiencing, but kind of butterflies of excitement! I was looking forward to my run! Really caught me by surprise, a complete first.

Age.... what’s age?
I decided a long time ago that age was only a number. I used to purposely leave it off my CV if I was job hunting. This wasn’t because I was precious about it but because I knew whatever age I was I could do the job, probably just as well if not better than the younger ones. People often said to me

Tuesday Pep Talk, Final Part
Sometimes, depression and anxiety can seem like an unbeatable monster. So, here's Japanese Cruiser Ashigara, with some friendly advice.... "Fight depression like a samurai. No retreat, no surrender and you will achieve victory this day!" Depression and anxiety are only as strong as you make them.

Tuesday Pep Talk, Part 2
This is no time to let depression win! Here's a tip from the US Cruiser Cleveland.... "Knights got their courage from slaying dragons. Slaying one's inner demons makes one truly fearless!" Be a Knight of the Sea like Cleveland. Stand up courageously to depression, and you will be truly fearless!

Your Tuesday pep talk!
Feeling scared and frightened? Depression got you gasping for air? Then take a tip from your friend and mine, the US Destroyer Spence... "Fear is just a illusion. I'm scared, but I'm gonna fight! I know I can beat it!" Spence fights her fears to win battles. Will you fight too? Give depression

Regaining Confidence After PP
Hi All, I had PP in August of last year, with no previous psychiatric history and it pretty much destroyed my confidence. Over a year later I am still struggling to get my confidence back, even though I was always a confident person before. Any tips to help get this back? It doesn't help that

How do you prove emotional abuse especially when the abuser makes himself look like Husband/Father of year? How do I protect my children?
I was diagnosed with GADd Drpression PTSD and insomnia. My husband of 25 years and his family think that these are my choices and I will get over them but they have no interest in learning how yet they continue to be combative and judgmental.

Dealing with PTSD
The biggest trauma I have with my PTSD is that I freeze when I am loudly ordered to do a task. My immediate response is to be startled and stand frozen for several minutes. This is frustrating to bosses with control issues. I have learned to cope better through couciling. Inhale then exhale has worked

I had a risky sexual encounter. Please help?
I'm a guy. I recently had sex with an escort (an expensive escort). I'm worried about what happened during the session. In our session she gave me raw oral sex (no condom), and then we had protected sex. Before intercourse, I had rubbed her genitals and I inserted my finger into her vagina. After that

Post visit to new therapist

She says ptsd comes in many many forms and since I know when my prop lens started and why she thinks some of newer
