Being confident as a mother after post partum psychosis
My husband's brother and his wife are having a baby, baby is due in May. I don't feel jealousy as such. I would feel able to admit to feeling jealous on here because I know many members have been very open about the mixture of feelings they have in their recovery and further on in the future. I am rambling

Trigger warning: section, separation from child, self-harm Hi 👋🏻 My first time posting, I've just discovered this forum which is a bit gutting for me, wish I'd known about it sooner. During my 2019 pregnancy I was flagged as at risk for PP due to a family history of my mum experiencing it. Following

Getting off Zyprexa
Hello everybody! Hope things are well for you all. Thank you for being here and sharing your stories! It is really a precious place to be after surviving PPP. I had my PPP in October last year and since then have been treated with Zyprexa (Olanzapine). I was on 5 mg for 1,5 months, then it was reduced

Re-Admitted to MBU
I was posting earlier this month about how I was getting these deep depressive lows that felt unbearable. I had postnatal psychosis/a manic episode in the summer. My community team felt that an inpatient stay would help me and the doctors find a treatment plan. They have said I need to be in for three

Guess who’s back
I have had a rough ride. PP three days after giving birth to my daughter in 2016. Did all the right things when me and my husband wanted another baby: preconception meetings with the perinatal team. Then locked into the perinatal mental health team when I was pregnant in 2021. Managed to have my baby

Any post issues after recovering from post partum psychosis?
Hi I have recently recovered from

partum
psychosis
. I was prescribed Olanzapine for a few months and tapered down to 2.5 mg. When I tried stopping it, I was suddenly faced with anxiety issues and had to go back on Olanzapine again for a few months.

Wondering if I have the wrong diagnosis...
Based on reading APPs symptoms of postpartum psychosis, I believe I have been given the wrong diagnosis of postnatal depression (I believe this can run alongside psychosis or come after the psychosis) At my peak, I whole heartedly believed that my daughter needed to be taken away from me because I couldn't

PPP and menopause
My sister experienced PPP after her first pregnancy. It took around 6 months to establish a medication routine that worked for her, and she has managed her subsequent bipolar diagnosis for 17 years. She started experiencing menopause symptoms and started HRT, and altering her meds, and then spiralled

Returning to work
My wife has recently been discharged from the MBU and we've had our first few 'proper' days together with baby at home. Feels a bit like what would have been many, many weeks ago when baby arrived if the PPP hadn't taken over. Mum is doing really well with baby but we are taking things day-by-day, hour-by-hour

Postpartum psychosis
My daughter gave birth to her baby boy in march (our 1st grandchild) I was at the birth and almost immediately saw a change in her. She was begging for help and asked not to be discharged she wasn't ready, but they discharged her home anyway. The birth itself was traumatic but she started fading away

My fiance has PP and wants to leave the MBU but she has been put in there under a section 2 :( how can I convince her to calm down and stay
I'm currently struggling with my partner having Postpartum physcosis, she gave birth to my son On the 25th of march 2023 and after a complicated labour she started showing PP symptoms, 3 days without sleeping panicking that he wasn't breathing, keep saying I don't know what I'm doing, I can't do this
