Trigger warning: section, separation from child, self-harm Hi 👋🏻 My first time posting, I've just discovered this forum which is a bit gutting for me, wish I'd known about it sooner. During my 2019 pregnancy I was flagged as at risk for PP due to a family history of my mum experiencing it. Following

Any post issues after recovering from post partum psychosis?

Hi I have recently recovered from post partum psychosis. I was prescribed Olanzapine for a few months and tapered down to 2.5 mg. When I tried stopping it, I was suddenly faced with anxiety issues and had to go back on Olanzapine again for a few months.

Scared of post partum psychosis happening again

I have always suffered from anxiety and ocd. After I had the baby it got worse. I bonded well but it got too much. I ended up staying with my mum for a few weeks and leaving the baby with his dad. I basically went to jump off a bridge but bottled it. Then a little later on I had the urge to stab myself

Aniexty after pp

Hi all I got pp last year after birth of my son in July and I’ve always had bit of aniexty but it seems to have gotten worse so I get anxious going to places or seeing certain people and end up going quiet round people or my aniexty gets worse. Does it get better ? I’m still currently on medication but

Olanzapine and pregnancy

Hi ladies, I hope you are all keeping well! It looks like I will be staying on Olanzapine (5mg) for my next pregnancy. Has anyone else remained on it during pregnancy? Did you have any issues? Thanks so much

The journey after the hospital

Hi my wife was diagnosed with ppp and treated a little over a month ago. She was released from the hospital and has been home for a month now. I am just wondering if it is has happened to others to have bad days where you are unsure what reality is, almost like slipping back into psychosis? I would love

Derealization/depersonalization disorder

Hi Everyone, This is my fist time writing. I had my pp episode back in July. My psychiatrist recently diagnosed me with derealization/depersonalization disorder because I am struggling to get back to my daily life and I find it difficult to connect to anything. I keep saying that it feels like someone

Medical license

Hi all, I’m new to this and wanted to find some other mammas that can maybe give me some clarity? My story can be seen on my profile. I have recently received a letter from vehicle licensing to state that because of my psychosis I am required to have a special medical license in order to be able to

Second Baby.

Hi, Following the birth of my daughter in Aug 2020, I developed pp like symptoms, although I didnt have diagnosis of pp. It was very similar, closer to a bipolar episode (as I have a previous history of one bipolar episode). My husband and I had been planning to have a second child. And today I found

Ppp and Olanzapine

Hello, I’m new here. I had ppp 2 years ago and I was put on 50mg of Olanapine and it got very slowly lowered. I am now on 5mg, I tried stopping the 5mg 6 months ago and symptoms of intense paranoia and anxiety returned. I’ve been going to therapy for a few months now and I feel that I’m in a good place

Mom of a great daughter who has PPP

Hi All. I am a mom of a 34 year old daughter who is suffering from PPP but is hopefully on the road to recovery. It has been an absolute rollercoaster for our entire family. Her second baby was born last August and since September the PPP has been building, escalating to a hospital stay late Feb early

Postpartum psychosis to bipolar disorder

I’ve wrote on here a few times and always value the response I get then I tend to forget about the page as life is so busy. I was diagnosed with postpartum psychosis after the birth of my son 3 years ago and we spent nearly two months in a mother and baby unit. Previous to his birth I had a long history
