Finished week 4, need a pep talk please!
I am feeling like week 5 is a mountain I can't climb at the moment. 4/2 and 4/3 one of the 5minute runs in both I could barely complete as my legs were burning so much, I was slow jogging as slowly as possible and my breathing was good. This has been the issue every time I've tried to get into running

Hi, I'm new to this Mental Health Support forum
I'm relatively new to Health Unlocked, and I joined this forum now. I suffer from major depression, and anxiety, and today my therapist says I have some PTSD going on. He suggested EMDR. Has anyone had this type of therapy and did it help you? Thank you.

Severe depression and anxiety
I am battling severe depression and anxiety for the past few months. My initial bout was in 2016, along with PTSD. As well, I had an initial bout in 2006. It is hell on earth, and looking for any advice support!

Ridiculous PTSD
Hey... I'm really struggling right now, I'm dealing with bad PTSD flashbacks from a terrible assault two months ago that left me physically and mentally not so well. I really need to talk it out somehow, because I can't move forward. I'm scared to leave my house, hell, I'm scared to leave my bed. I'm

New Here and looking to discuss Long Term PTSD
I am obviously new to this forum and would like to connect with others, especially women, who have been living with and have been treated for PTSD and depression. I won't go into my whole sordid story, but it involves early childhood trauma, alcoholism, sexual and physical abuse, a lifetime of bad relationships

Hi! I'm new here : )
I have depression/anxiety/ptsd and curious how others deal with their daily struggles. Life itself is a struggle right now for me as I'm sure it is for others. Right now my new saying is "each minute is a new one" that's the only thing that gets me by at the moment.

Week 9 Run 1
Ok so this was the hardest run so far. There was one major reason for this: I was working until fairly late last night (outdoors) and got home absolutely famished. The weather was colder than it has been and added to my hunger to such a degree that It seemed like a good idea to order in Chinese food

How and when do you know its more than you think? Finding help but not sure what kind of help I may need? Begining of everything!!!!
I am just an ordinary person like you and everybody else. I am introverted extrovert well thats what I have been naming myself. I moved in the states when I was 19, with great plan ahead of me but not everything goes as we planned. As you can imagine 19 year old all alone managing everything ( at least

The emperor's new clothes
My husband is a bee farmer so I should have known better than to stick my hand into a hornets nest (if that makes sense). my real objective in my last post was to encourage those PeP who are passionate about curing PD to make a start on assessments of any trials they could consider entering. No more

Gentle 5
Morning All 😀 After my pep talks and advice earlier this week, this morning I went out for a gentle flat 5k. I ran with a friend which was new as I’ve always been a solo runner, but today I think it worked out well as we were chatting it forced me to go slower which made SO much difference. Thoroughly

Week 8 Run 2
Didnt sleep particularly well, woke with a dead leg (right thigh and butt cheek ) and my last run on Tuesday was hard so I wasnt overly optimistic about this one. My 12 year old gave me a positive pep talk last night 🥰 so with her in my ears I still got up and went early this morning. My field, as it's

Layman's PTSD
PTSD, emotional feelings of wide range, are sometimes experienced without perceptive cognition by individuals having been subject to inappropriate circumstance. PTSD, more prevalent & widespread than previously acknowledged or treated is endemic. Abuse/trauma associated with PTSD, subject individuals

Thank you Queen for putting things in perspective
OK, so it was W6R1 today and I struggled but not for the expected reasons. I'd taken heed of the warnings about returning to intervals and though I felt they disrupted the rhythm I wasn't too tired by the end (thank god). However, it really made me appreciate the power of positive thinking before a run
