PTSD?
Hello! I was not certain where I could go to ask this, so Iāve found myself here. I was hoping someone could give me some opinions/feedback. I hope this is alright. A few years ago, I suffered from an emotionally traumatic event. I experienced a range of side effects from it, that I didnāt really think

Hi, Iāve been on Benepali injections for a couple of months now with great success š I feel almost normal. Iām getting in a bit of a pickle as I find the actual injection hurts - I have to give myself a pep talk beforehand (and a chocolatey reward afterwards!). Iām no wimp. I inject methotrexate via

One off Appointment with Psychiatrist tomorrow, & feeling very anxious!
Hi, I changed GP practice in March as I was not able to get confirmation of years of depression & ptsd which I can only obtain through a GP AND a psychiatrist. The GP that I had B4 would not send me probably bcs I had been sent B4 after bad reaction to anti depressants, & psyches said I was physically

Those who think they can, and those who think they can't are both right! šāāļøšāāļø
There comes a day for everyone, before or after graduation, when they have to decide whether they're going to be a runner, or give up. I started running last September and graduated in November. My judgement day came after a Christmas break. I'd spent a few days away with my family (remember when those

Low Thyroid Symptoms/Lab Test Results June 2020
Hello. I am glad I found this website to allow me to post my questions. My thyroid lab markets are always in the "normal" range so my doctor always says I am fine. I have all the symptoms of a low thyroid. I am a male, age 63, and have had most of the low thyroid symptoms for 30 years. Below is my most

First 5k! W8R3
I did something today that I have never done before and had no intention of doing today. Spoilers: I ran for 5km! Now, let me put this into perspective. It was not within the timeframe of my intended run, it was a 10:27/km average pace, but it felt good so I carried on and somehow hit this milestone

Mental or Physical?
Hi all Just back from W2R1 - hard! This felt like W1R1 in a way which Iām sure itās supposed to. The small increase in time didnāt seem much in theory but in practice it was. Even though this is very early in my journey while running I couldnāt help but think about wether itās mental attitude or physical

Wanting out of suffering ...what to do
I canāt keep suffering like this. How do people get through? I just keep thinking it would be nice to take all the pills I have but immediately my love for my kids and my fear of hurting them stop me. I asked my psychiatrist if I could increase one or two of my meds. Havenāt heard back from him yet.

Volunteering with others like you
Hi..has anyone found any type of healing by volunteering with people similar to you? I suffer from anxiety, depression and ptsd. I am also struggling with trying to figure myself for the things that I have done that were totally out of character. I am considering volunteering for the local suicide

Having a rough day today with PTSD++
Having a hard time today. Family issues. I am suffering from PTSD today. My dad mentioned something about my boyfriend which brought up memories of a work injury which caused my ptsd. it is not possible for my family to reframe from making comments that will trigger my ptsd. I just want to cry. I

Too much to manage
I cannot figure out which issue has the biggest impact on my life. I have too many things going on that can cause the same symptoms. How are you supposed to know which issue to focus most of your energy on first if you are not sure if you are mostly impacted by ADHD, GAD, PANIC, or PTSD...etc?

Long day running
āŖWeek 7 Run 3. Realised that the halfway pep talk and bell hadnāt gone, app had paused at 5mins 36. Did quick calculation based on songs played and reckon I did 28 minutes. Music of choice - Long Train Running - The Doobie Brothers https://youtu.be/HP_NE4XZGAcā¬

Week 5 run 3 in the bag at last! š
After overdoing stuff on my rest days and then being sidetracked by life in general, I was feeling a bit lost. Pulled my socks up after a week off and got back on track for week 5. First two runs all good. In a bit of a tizz about run 3 but read the pinned post and it made so much more sense! Thank you

Quotation for Tuesday 26th May 2020
Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a good long weekend. My quotation today is really short and I think, very harsh, but it does possibly have some merit on some occasions. "Life is not fair. Get used to it" - BILL GATES- This popped up on my phone this morning as the quotation of the day. Now
