Hi glitterysparkle698,

Welcome to the community.

My symptoms are different but everyone's PTSD is unique and there isn't any one way.

I think a lot of emotions get suppressed through trauma and one of the important aspects of the healing process is to feel those emotions gradually and name them and then hopefully release them so they don't have such an impact on daily life anymore.

It's really tough to face those most difficult emotions. It's one of the bravest things to do, I think.

I think PTSD can get misdiagnosed quite often and it's very important to work through the trauma as this can make sense of the experience of symptoms and eventually reduce them.

I hope you find a good therapist that can see the differences and can help you process things in the most tolerable way.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Feeling numb then thinking and remembering, getting angry then sad, despairing, having good cry and feeling lighter then moving forward again. All starts again either a day or even few hours later. It can be a bit of a grieving process but better out then bottling it up and inwards. Take good care of you.
