Very pleased with myself to have this under my belt - now I know for sure I can actually keep moving for 30 mins 😆
An uneventful outing with no drama which makes a pleasant change !
I’m not at all worried that I’m not doing anything like 5k. I think that will come when I start 40-45 mins which will hopefully be in a few weeks (or maybe months ?) time.
Ready to press on to R2 on Wed and Graduation Fri 🤞 which will mark the end of what I’m calling Phase 1 of my running adventure.
Thanks everyone for being there when I have needed pep talks and for cheering me on ❤️

Yay, you've almost finished. I'm still not doing 5K but I am slowly building up and know I will get there eventually. Graduation is just the start of a never ending journey.
A work colleague of mine inspired me to do this ... I’ve now found out he stopped a couple of weeks ago after completing the programme. 🙄
I’ll tell you one thing - I will definitely keep going if I possibly can. I really don’t want to lose this happy feeling 😆 and we’ll both get to 5k when our bodies are good and ready 🏃♀️
Well done Lady. I should have been finishing week 9 this week too but I don’t think it is going to happen for me now. I went out for W9R1 this morning but at 15 minutes in I felt pain in my thigh which kept getting worse so I had to stop. It has remained very painful during today and makes it difficult walking up and down my staircase. Now I will need to rest it hope it gets better, I am so disappointed to have this in week 9.
Oh no what a shame - best rest up until you’re better.
I had a dodgy knee in the early stages of the programme and have worn a knee brace ever since - not sure if I need it anymore but it’s become part of my ritual.
Hope you are well enough to attempt graduation week soon
Well done to you. I am just about to do my wk 9 R1. I have accepted I will not acheive 5 k yet. But it will be good to have that goal after graduation. It's been great reading everyone's posts.
Just finished it (wk9 R1). Goodness that was hard going. I think others may have thought there was a puffing train in the park! I find the breathing the hardest part as though I'm breathing through a straw! But if I don't panic about it and distract myself I seem to get through it somehow. I say to myself you didn't think you could run for 1 minute and now you are at 30. Perhaps bad today as they were cutting the grass and eyes were streaming too!Anyway overall very pleased as I did the 30 mins 4.19k which is my best yet. This programme is so good for a boost!!!
