Question about dissasociation
Can someone describe exactly how dissasociation displays itself? I've read some about it on the Internet but have not been able to make a connection between those descriptions and my PTSD. Maybe I just don't disassociate, but how do others experience this?

Herbs for depression
I would like to take a herbal anti-depressant for a while. I am on 75 mcg levo at the moment. Does anyone have any advice on a good herb and any counter indications for levo? I have heard taking St. John's Wort can be a bit tricky.

How the Gut Microbiodome influences mental & physical health
Posted this some months ago on the PTSD forum & wanted to share on this one. Having experienced PTSD & cocurrent depression for almost 30 years, I dropped all meds & went on a journey to heal holistically almost 10 years ago. So many of us have food allergies / digestive problems that we may think

Hi folks I've only recently been diagnosed with PTSD AND EMOTIONALLY DETACHED. I really struggle to get out and meet people face to face. When it get over the top I react physically in different ways. Jerking, face sinking and eventually black outs. Along with the ache and pains .

Reaching out to PTSD friend? What you think
Every two weeks I write my friend with PTSD texts that are supposed to give her confidence and let her know I am here for her. My theme this week is friendship. If these texts aren't good let me know and will change it. Sending 2 texts and winnie the pooh quote. What should I go with 2a or 2b or both

Heart Failure/Atrial Fibrillation medicine from Foxgloves. Once a mainstay heart drug, but superseded by safer drugs that extend life.
[i]'In the modern era, digoxin was considered, for many years, the mainstay of treatment for people with heart failure. However, this has changed over the last decade as it has been replaced as first-line treatment with other medicines which are generally safer to use and known to improve patient survival

On the move again - W6 R1😄
Two weeks after completing W5 and one week after an abandoned (W6 R1 due to niggley, achey problems with my foot) I'm finally back on it! Decided I would try again earlier this evening, the having felt no pains or aches since last Sunday when I went swimming. Not sure if this was just coincidence or

W7R3 smashed it!!!
This was by far my most favourite run yet!! I've ended up having two rest days between run two and run three and wow what a difference! I felt so good all the way, on the other runs this week I had been getting about halfway and starting to feel really breathless and tired and not sure I could carry

W2 run 1
Newbie 45 year old mum of 2 (teenagers now urghh) and full time midwife. Have never tried running before but I do walk a lot. Also a wee bit overweight so I'm doing the 5:2 diet as well, going to run on my non fast days. Loved week one. Found today's run a bit more challenging but got through it, struggled

St John’s Wort, the flower that can treat depression - and can interfere with other drugs INCLUDING Ibrutinib!

How did you heal your PTSD?
I am new to this group, and suffer terribly from complex PTSD, amongst other issues, I was particularly interested in this sites Founder, Michael Rosenthal's healing protocols, and certainly anyone else here who is progressing through this very difficult disorder. Â
