Newbie 45 year old mum of 2 (teenagers now urghh) and full time midwife. Have never tried running before but I do walk a lot. Also a wee bit overweight so I'm doing the 5:2 diet as well, going to run on my non fast days. Loved week one. Found today's run a bit more challenging but got through it, struggled with the last one but just gave myself a pep talk and got there. You really do get a buzz from achieving each run, I love reading all your posts, I think it's great everybody supporting each other. X

Hi. Go for it. Did 3 minutes today and when I started a few weeks ago I didn't think I could break into a run for anything, even George Clooney! 😀

many of us are in that age bracket and older! Also many have an extra bit of weight to lug around but we can all do it, and surprise ourselves how great it is! Well done for starting and look forward to seeing your progress!
