Fed up with doctors.
I am constantly fed up with my GP continually saying that all my physical problems and chronic pain is because of mental trauma and ptsd. I get that ptsd causes physical symptoms but I successfully overcame my ptsd two years ago and I have chronic pain from a bad fall and car crash that have nothing

As promised, AmericanRonin's cheeky post has inspired this one. I just finished my third week of ibrutinib (and third week off of travel to OSU's clinical trial which resumes next week) and I'm happy to report that I'm back to regular Ellen, i.e. Energizer Bunny with plenty of pep and energy. I get

Confused.
Hi, so I'm not sure if I actually have PTSD. I don't know if what happened to me was enough to bring that on. Everytike I've heard anything said on PTSD, it's usually for soldiers or victims of rape.. I didn't experience anything that traumatic I don't think.. But I think about it all the time. But I

No help available
I have managed to so totally fail therapy that I am now discharged from the people on the hospital. Has anyone used the book "heal your ptsd" to recover? I am thinking of using it and would appreciate advice/guidance.

Have had depressed and PYSD for 4 years
Okay, May 16th 2012 just the day after my parents 19th wedding anniversary, at age 18 I found my father crushed under the family car in the drive way while he was working on it. It's been four years now I'm happily married and the depression and PTSD still won't go away. Recently I've been looking into

Understanding my pain
My community is pain, simply because I live in pain 24/7 and I try to understand it. I know, more or less, where my pain is coming from. It's coming from the many conditions that I have been blessed to experience. I consider each pain to be a blessing because it reminds me that I am alive and not buried

How many of you are in some form of psychotherapy?
I would like to know if many or few of you are in psychotherapy for PTSD. How long have you been going, does it help? Or are alternative therapies like NLP better?

ptsd survivors letting friends back in your life
If you have ever pushed someone away because at the moment in time they weren't equipped to be a good friend in that situation or that time and you push them away. How do you let someone back into your life if they put in the time effort and work to be equipped to be a friend to you after being pushed

Insight anyone? We lose 22 veterans a day. Is it beyond PTSD?
Hello all. I live in an area that is near military bases. I work in a retail store that has quite a few military customers around their pay day. If I know they are military or veterans, I thank them for their service. I don't suffer with PTSD - disappointing crap I have been through (sexual abuse

Over PTSD
there you are my old illness. Tricking me into thinking I could function normally and you were gone! How much work do I have to do for you to go away once and for all and allow me to function like a normal human being. I am so tired !

It's either MM or the lucky socks...
FINALLY, on the fourth attempt I've cracked w6r3 on the pretend C25K. Honestly it was like finding the holy grail. I enlisted the services of MM (for enlisted read forced) and he kept pace beautifully. Even better, it seems he can't tell the time as he gave me the "only one more minute" pep talk just

Good career/job/school options for people with C-PTSD
My PTSD is Chronic and complex. Working with ANYONE is a challenge because typically people will just trigger me w/o even knowing it. I'm fine with getting triggered when it's a singular incident for the most part but when the triggers stack on top of each other and I get no accommodations, it can lead

Day 2 of Obin, Ibutinib, Venetoclax Clinical Trial
Hi everyone, I completed the second day of the trial, and I couldn’t be happier about my decision. Day 2 was “Groundhog Day,” i.e. a repeat of day 1 in all ways except we ramped up to 900 mg from 100 mg of obinutuzumab infusion. I had maybe 5 minutes of slight stomach and lower back pain, but that was
