New study: "Low bone mineral density is related to high physiological levels offT4 not to TSH levels below lower reference range."
I came across an interesting study in my weekly alerts from pubmed I have setup, that I should might be useful to some here and I couldn't see it already linked. Hysterectomy in just over a week. Any advice? Feeling nervous...
After many years of problems (since starting periods), I was finally diagnosed with endo nearly 3 years ago. I am 41 years old and have been blessed with 2 gorgeous daughters. Zoladex implants for 9 months were a God send and so my consultant recommended a hysterectomy and oopherectomy. I have my op

Operation done - endo found again, feeling low.
Hi all, further to my post earlier in the week, I went in for my surgery Tuesday. I was supposed to be out same day however was in surgery for a good few hours and he had ended up having to make 4 incisions and I had a catheter in. He performed excision of the endo which was in the vaginal vault, a cystoscopy

New future???
I have not written anything for awhile mainly due to surgery. After suffering for two years plus with Chronic Pelvic Pain with no diagnosis, my consultant decided that after trying zoladex a hysterectomy with oopherectomy would be the solution. I am now six weeks post op and other than a few healing

Operation update number 2
Hi everyone, not sure if you can remember my last update but things went from bad to worse. I was taken into A&E by ambulance to find out that my temperature and servere vomiting after gallbladder removal was to do with the operation not being successful (even though I'd been sent home with these symptoms

Hysteroscopy/Laparoscopy booked in.
Just had my appointment with my gynae dr, they have booked me in for a Hysteroscopy for
polyp
removal
and Laparoscopy, plus inserting the mirena coil all in 1 surgery. Although I am really happy to finally get a laparoscopy I am a little worried.

big confusing vicious unending circle
I've had symptoms of Depression/Anxiety for around 2 years - but only had them diagnosed as that in January. I decided very quickly to avoid Anti-depressants (and thats not changing) so put my name down for Cognitive Behavoural Therapy (CBT). I was signed off of work in February and waited for CBT

To lap or not to lap?
Hello, I am new to the forum but old to the world of Endo. (GO TO THE END FOR A MORE CONCISE VERSION) Here's a brief history of my case. I started with 'obvious' signs of Endo 13 years ago. After a battling 5 years I was finally given a laparoscopy and was diagnosed with Endometriosis. By that

following full left mastectomy and lymph node removal in 2006 i have slight lymphodema in left arm. the treatments have left me with some excess weight but my left tummy area is fatter and feels "squidgy" , more like fluid than a spare tyre! could it be lympdodema?

esophagectomy
Can anyone tell me what sort of op. I had? I'm getting confused by all the names. I have a scar down the centre of my front, and one that starts by my right breast goes under my arm to the back, and up to my shoulder blade. Is that an Ivor Lewis? ( I also have three little scars from my cholecystectomy

Does anyone know anything about egg-freezing when there is a risk of ovary removal?
Am due to have a laparotomy next week to remove a 15cm ovarian cyst and have division of adhesions. I had a laparoscopy in July last year and have been taking Prostap but my cysts have grown back regardless and the largest is so big this time that they cant see what it is attached to. My consultant
