Zoladex, Livial, hysterectomy....does anyone else feel like their life has been turned upside down? How do you cope? Are you still working?
I had 3rd Zoladex injection 4 days ago and really suffering. Insomnia for past 5 weeks meant that I ended up starting Livial a month earlier than scheduled. I feel as though I am in emotional free fall. Does anyone else feel this way? How are you managing to cope and look after your children and carry

Question about HRT for 36yo after oophorectomy
I am 36 and have had both of my ovaries removed by surgery 2 months ago as a result of OC. My gynae-onc and another gynae-oncologist I saw for a second opinion both recommended that I do not use HRT given that I don't have any serious symptoms apart from ocassional hot flashes and difficulty sleeping

Surgical menopause!
Hi all, I really don't know where to start. But here goes, in 1992 aged 21, I had my first laparoscopy for cysts on my bladder that were found to be pre-cancerous. This surgery led to a perforated bladder and instead of a day surgery I was in for 2 weeks. In 1996 after the birth of my 1st child I had

Daughter and ovarian cysts at 20 years of age
Im in quite a state today about my Daughter. She has had a brown discharge continuously for 1 year. She went to the doctors who put her on the pill for 3 months. This lessened it but it didnt go away. She went back to the doctor and they ordered a scan which of course she had to wait for. Once that

I have a severe case of Endometriosis and I've been thinking of getting an Oophorectomy and I'm only 20yo
I have tried so much to get my pain to settle down (herbals, medication, birth control, surgery) and nothing is helping. The birth control makes me worse. The surgery didn't keep the pain away. Herbals did nothing. And now I'm desperate to be pain-free. It's hard to live life because my Endometriosis

Have you had a Hysterectomy with ovary removal and Endo has returned?
Hi As the title says: Have you had a Hysterectomy and endo and pain has returned? I had a Radical Hysterectomy in June 2012 - which included womb and both ovary removal etc. I didn't start taking HRT - Livial until after a year later. The last 3 days I've been having the old familiar burning pains in

Gallbladder surgery
Not sure if this is the right place to post but I cant find a relevant group! I started having attacks a few months ago which I initially thought was indigestion!! I ended up being admitted to hospital for 5 days as I was very jaundiced. They did an ultrasound which confirmed it was gallstones and quite

Endometriosis pain after hysterectomy and oophorectomy - Is there anything that can help or am I stuck with the pain forever?
I have had a radical hysterectomy and oophorectomy last September. I was initially put on HRT patches when I came out of surgery - I noticed that I felt better as the patch was wearing off. After a couple of weeks I ditched them altogether. At that point I was coping with the menopausal symptoms. By

On zoladex again!!!!
I've had endo since I was 17 although it wasn't diagnosed until I was 24. I am now 37 and have just had my first new round of zoladex today, I've been having zoladex since 2001 and it doesn't get any easier. I am now on the waiting list for an oophorectomy, my left ovary is definitely being removed,

Is anyone taking or has taken Premarin ?
I've just been prescribed this after my hysterectomy and ovary removal but reading the leaflet that cones with the tablets says it's not recommended if you "have had your womb removed due to endometriosis". Since I have endometriosis and adenmyosis this doesn't to me sound like the right hrt.

New study: "Low bone mineral density is related to high physiological levels offT4 not to TSH levels below lower reference range."
I came across an interesting study in my weekly alerts from pubmed I have setup, that I should might be useful to some here and I couldn't see it already linked.
