Gallbladder Removal Anxiety
After a few years of off and on stomach pain I finally had an ultrasound that reveals gallstones. I have a consultation with a surgeon and I am freaking out. I know that this surgery is pretty common but I am someone with high anxiety and occasional panic attacks, I've never had surgery and this is a

Cleared the Slate and Started Over
I felt like I was spinning my wheels, so I basically cleared the slate and I am starting all over. I went through surgical menopause in my early 40s and now I am 58, so I am trying to figure out sex hormones as well as thyroid. I know I need adequate amounts of estrogen and thyroid to feel well. My problem

GA 68 PSMA PET SCAN RESULTS
My PSA reading 3 months after RALP was 8.11. I started Cosadex on June 1st, and Eligard 30mg 4 month injection on the 13th. I just received the results of my PSMA Pet Scan. 1. Hypermetabolic nodules/lymph nodes in the mid pelvis, consistent with sites of residual/recurrent viable disease. The most suspicious

Treatment after RP with affected lymph nodes
Hello! This is my first post to this forum, which I am following from some time ago, since I have some doubts about next steps of treatment of my advanced PC and would appreciate very much your help, in order to take best grounded decisions. My basic history on this matter is: • 2016: 58 years. PSA

At a loss 😢
Hi there wondering if anyone out there has any advice. I had a bilateral salpingo oopherectomy 10 weeks ago. I was told after this op that everything should be good and I would be Endo free. My ovaries were “stuck” to the pelvis cavity. During the laparoscopy my surgeon took biopsies and also looked

Skin Tag / Polyp Removal - Eggs Collected Today
Hi I had my eggs collected today. Feeling a bit tender! I’m 40 with 7.7 AMH and they collected 7 eggs so I am happy with that. They wanted to check a skin tag and today referred me to have it removed. (My embryos will be frozen) Waiting on updates to know grade & how many with be frozen. Question

I had a hysteroscopy and
polyp

earlier this year. I’ve never had EMMA/ALICE tests but haven’t felt it’s warranted.

6 weeks post lap and Bilateral Salpingo Oophorectomy returning pain?
Apologies in advance for the long post but I’m feeling very unsettled. I am nearly 6 weeks post lap which included removal of ovaries and tubes. My consultant came to see me whilst I was still in recovery to tell me that he had found my ovaries were completely stuck to my pelvic area by endo and he

Suspected B12 deficiency and about to start SI
This was finally investigated in Sept 2020, when I had a gastroscopy and colonoscopy, followed by the
removal
of a uterine
polyp
by hysteroscopy. Since then my bloods have improved slightly but are still on the low end of ranges and no further action has been taken, despite my symptoms.

Are they going to take my HRT away?
Hi all, after surgery I went into surgical menopause HARD and was put straight on HRT patches. I now have a diagnosis of clear cell carcinoma Stage 1c, shortly to start chemo. They asked what meds I was on in the appointment and I forgot to mention the HRT as I don't think of it as meds as such. I'm

New here! Most menopausal oophorectomy?
I'm 5 years post lumpectomy for triple negative breast cancer at 46. Was tested and found to be BRCA2 carrier, though no history of cancer in my family. Preventative ovary removal was suggested, but I wanted to avoid surgical menopause so opted to postpone that. Now i'm 'properly' peri-menopausal

Surgery Risks?
Hi everyone. Just joined this site yesterday after a recent UCTD diagnosis. Last year, before my diagnosis, I was referred for gallbladder removal. This week, I received a telephone consultation appointment for May. I will ask any relevant questions during the consultation but was wondering meantime

Ovary removal success for Endo?
Hi I am 3 weeks post Ovary and Fallopian Tube removal performed Laparoscopically. After surgery my Consultant confirmed that Endometriosis had basically stuck my ovaries to my pelvis. He advised that I shouldn’t suffer from any further Endometriosis issues but I do still have uterus. Has anyone else

Hi 👋 I’m new here. Hoping I can get some insight. I have had about 9 months of prostap injections and found my endo/ adeno pain improved so much. A couple of months ago I started HRT to go with the prostap and have found my pain has increased a bit. From what I’ve read this is fairly normal with endo

Blood test for calcium
I was reading the 'Supplement timing' post which appeared in my daily e-mail this morning and one of the replies from greygoose raised a good point. In the past I was mildly low with my calcium and since going through a surgical menopause in October 2021 and having a DEXA scan which showed mild osteopenia
