Anyone found antihistamines trigger their IBS?
Hi, my IBS started while I was on a course of antihistamines to treat an allergic reaction to medication. They were my first suspects when it started, but after I looked up connections between antihistamines and gastric pain and couldn't find anything, I let that go and pursued other possibilities.

From normal to overactive thyroid
A friend of mine started taking antihistamine for what she thought was hay fever. Not long after she went to GP saying she was not feeling right. Blood test showed her thyroid was slightly over active (was felt not enough to worry about). Her health got much worse over the next 2 years I wonder was

Itchy New Year
For some time I've had an intermittent rash on my hand. If I remembered to use enough cream - mostly E45 - on it, it died down and then flared up again. Since just before Christmas it's been on the move and I now have rash on both hands, up my arms, along both legs and this morning it started in the

iodine vs. bromine/chlorine
Something to think about. Bromine (in bread in USA) & chlorine (in our water) displace iodine in our thyroids causing inadequate function. As an aside, I'm recovering from the effects of being poisoned by pharma drugs (30 years antidepressants, four months chemo/steroids, five months lupron, nine months

Cisplatin anyone?
Hello I've reacted to my last dose of carboplatin, having had extra steroids and antihistamines as I also reacted to the last, second, infusion. It was working so seems to me that the most similar other chemo, which seems to be cisplatin, would be my best option. Does anyone have experience of cisplatin

Coming off butrans patches
I've had chronic pain - endometriosis - since 2011. I had my second surgery this September and amazingly all my pain has gone. I've been coming off my pain meds, finished pregabelin and now started coming down from 20 mcgm butrans patches. I've got down to the 5 patch but the withdrawal symptoms are

The doctors can't figure it out
I've told my doctors and ENT that it feels like I'm "drowning from the inside" just on the left side of my head. It comes with exertion, overheating, and if I look from side to side too much (like when you're out shopping) I feel a warm fluid like feeling on the left side of my head, then my ear gets

Fatigue and Itching
I've been going through a rough patch recently with fatigue and its really been getting me down, as it is having a knock on effect on my daily life. I'm usually a positive and easy going person but this is really testing me this time. I have decided to prescribe myself complete bed rest for a couple

Nope. No Way.Never again!
After today I am not going to ignore my gut instinct and listen to specialist consultants when medication is concerned. I have previously posted about my sensitivity to a lot of meds so questioned and double checked when asked to try Cymbalta(duloxetine) ,a new one to me and then pregbalin again which

Chest itching since thyroid biopsy
Ok this sounds super strange but I had a thyroid biopsy done about a month and a half ago now. Since the day after the biopsy(which I was sore and my voice was horse) I have experienced bouts of itchy hives on my neck that spreads to my chest and on high stress days will also spread to my inner wrist

Help please, my usual go to food of rice and chicken gave me bad stomach pains last night!
I'm new to this site so still finding my way around. I was diagnosed with IBS a few years ago after a bout of diarrhoea and a normal colonoscopy and it hadn't been too bad until last year when I had my gallbladder removed. A few days later the IBS flared up and has been pretty bad ever since then.
