Epipen
Hi, can anyone help with my really silly fear of using my epipen. I have had pens for a long time and have a very big fear of using them, of what will happen if/when I use them. I have multiple allergies and severe asthma and some of my triggers are unknown. When my asthma allergy thing really takes

Morning all - been to see my dr this morning regarding horrible sore throats and croaky voice. She thinks that it is possibly due to the high pollen count and to take an antihistamine. I would never have considered that as I put it down to my thyroid. Anyway, asked for a print out of my results (photo

RLS and osteoporosis
I'm trying to respond to Aturtle but have lost you! Looking at your long list of medications I deduce that as well as RLS you have an underactive thyroid, heartburn and reflux and diabetes. I have similar problems , and also 4 spinal fractures causing considerable pain. Magnesium has been suggested by

Confused by blood results
I've had results back from recent bloods, all is now well after nearly everything out of kilt! The things that are confusing me is that monocytes are below and basophil is now above recommend limit, these where the ones of few that where actually within range before loading doses. I've read that low

Carbimazole side effects.
I have been taking 40mg of carbimazole daily since the start of April. In the last week I have experienced an all over the body rash and feel like my skin is crawling!! I phoned my GP and was advised to take antihistamines 1 hour before taking my carbimazole. It's taken the majority of my itching away

Spike and block
So i've just found this forum as i'm guessing the old one moved so i've had to rejoin. This morning i was fine until i lay on my right ear for a second then it spiked and blocked and is still blocked and ringing with my usual friend but louder and not giving up, it's been so long since this happened.

Nearly a year post chemo
Has anyone suffered itching following chemo?! I have been doing really well and then about 6 weeks or so ago my scalp and the back of my neck started to itch. The hospital thinks it may be to do with my hair growing back. Whatever is causing it, nothing seems to be helping much. It really does drive

Alergic reaction to fludrocortisone
Hello, I had been on fludrocortisone for 7 days and had a few muscle twitches whilst taking it...and felt a bit spaced out from taking it...but nothing worse than that.. but on the 7th day in the evening my tongue started to swell and I quickly started to become breathless and felt like I had drunk 10

Antihistamines.
Hi all. :) Does anyone have any idea which hay fever remedies are ok to take when you have RLS? I am taking Gabapentin and Co-codamol which work for me quite well now but I am very cautious about buying anything that might tip me back into hellish nights and miserable days again. Any help greatly appreciated

Hayfever?
Hi all, I'm taking seretide 250 at the moment and the prescribing of it has coincided with what I guess is pretty bad hay-fever. However, antihistamines aren't really cutting it so I wondered whether it could be that I'm allergic to the seretide? I hope not as it's the best thing I've taken for a while

Confused
Hi there! I'm new here. As the title says really, I'm confused. I'm 59, took early retirement nearly two years ago and live with my husband and an assortment of animals, including 10 cats (soon to become 11). We also have llamas and a pig on our 2.5 acres. Over the past 10 years or more, I had what I

Itchy eyes and Levothyroxine
It has now been 7 weeks since I started on levothyroxine and I had a call from the doctor today to say my recent blood test results were great and my TSH has come right down to around 1.5 (I intend to go and get a print out of the full results). I feel 100 times better and I think this has been helped

Levo and Carbimazole lowers digestive Enzymes?!
So I was recently diagnosed with low DAO enzyme (the enzyme needed to break down Histamine in the gut). I have had stomach problems all my life but seems like my reactions have gotten more severe since starting Levo over a year ago. Then I did some research and found this study where they found that

Long term effects of daily antihistamine?
Have been taking antihistamine daily for a couple of years now, it must have some side effect especially in the digestion, does anybody know? I have been diagnosed with B12 deficiency and wondered if the two are related.
