Does asthma severity tend to reflect that of sinuses?
I wasn’t sure where to post this but please tell me if it’s out of place as I’l move it. Basically I’ve had chronic sinusitis with polyps for over a decade. It is more chronic inflammation that’s the issue, with meds the polyps are only small/secondary to the inflammation. I don’t have asthma but

Antihistamines and Prednisone, are they compatible?
In the case of pollen allergies, is it ok to take an antihistamine while on Prednisone? I have mild symptoms, runny nose and teary eyes and so far haven't taken any antihistamines, but would it be safe to do so if symptoms get worse? I am on 4 mg for another month before attempting to taper to 3.5

Tylenol pm dangerous ??
I know that Tylenol is often recommended for pain with CKD stage 3. But I am wondering if Tylenol PM is safe. I know that Tylenol PM includes an antihistamine to help with sleep. Does anyone have any experience with this OTC medication?

This is the Start Here paper, with clues & tips for RLS sufferers. Print it out and refer to it often. It may be your road map to possible relief. START HERE - and welcome. If you actually have Restless Legs (or Limbs) Syndrome - RLS/PLMD (now also known as Willis-Eckbom Disease) and do not know

Taking antihistamine with cirrhosis
I am suffering from pet allergy and would like to take antihistamines.. which over the counter are safe with cirrhosis? Are there any other suggestions to relieve the symptoms. All blood work are within normal range and living a normal healthy life, obviously no alcohol.

MPN and corticosteroids
My son with ET Jak2+ has just found out he has an allergy to penicillin, after taking it for strep throat. He's now on a high level of antihistamines and a corticosteroids. Has anyone had any adverse bleeding reactions to these drugs? His platelets are high enough that Von Willebrand hasn't been ruled

Hi! Just joined. Is there MG-lite?
I recently found out I have 0.12nmol/L of anti-AChR antibodies, but am told that's too low to be of any consequence. I certainly don't have the tell-tale symptoms of full-blown myasthenia gravis (MG), but I do have a very easily fatigued, twitchy, blinky left eye (and milder symptoms in the right one

Hi! I just joined. CIDP: Is anyone like me?
My neurologist thinks I might have chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), despite the fact that, apart from the occasional shooting pain, cramp, or twinge, I don't have any motor-control, spasm or electric-shock-like symptoms. What I do have is longstanding, progressive, bilateral

Tirosint
Hi, I posted earlier about Tirosint in Gel capsules possibly giving me a rash. I stopped taking them 4 weeks ago and the rash continues. Not as bad but still all down my legs and arms. My question. Can it take so long to leave the body? Or am I blaming the wrong thing for my rash? Blood tests were

RLS AND ANTIHISTAMINES
Could someone please advise an alternative to Fexofenadine as it has an effect on my Restless legs. Since stopping this drug my RLS has gone. I have spoken to my GP (UK) they said there is not and alternative to Fexofenadine that is 'non drowsy' on prescription. Thank you. Keith

Shingles vaccine… bad reaction
Last Thursday I had the Shingles vaccine, 1st dose. I immediately had a sore arm, painful really and that continued into the weekend. I also felt generally unwell, completely out of kilter and dizzy/ nauseous at times, runny nose and a bit of a cough. Then a red hot swollen rash appeared on Sunday

Some hope!
LONG POST! One of the things to bear in mind with Tinnitus posts, threads and forums, as many have mentioned, is that they turn into an echo chamber of devastation. People searching for answers in desperation on what to some can be the worst time of their life. We search and search for answers to help

mri without contrast
Hi everyone I was wondering if anyone could advise me about what to do going forward. In February 2023 I woke up one morning and I felt like the whole room was spinning and I was struggling to hear out of my left ear. This happened for over a week. I went to the doctors and they prescribed some antihistamine

Problems with Teva
Hi all, lf I am having a reaction to Teva it has just been suggested to me by a friend about taking an antihistamine. Do you think this would help?. I don't want to make matters worse.

Long term cough
Good morning. Has anyone had a long term cough associated with inflammatory arthritis? I have had it about five years and it's driving me nuts! I've had a couple of chest xrays, which were clear apparently. I was given a puffer to try a few years back, but that just made things worse. I've tried antihistamines
