I have graves disease but am currently euthyroid. Can I take antihistamines?

can you take antihistamines with graves disease
Antihistamine are often prescribed for allergic reactions to carbimazole, so those with Graves can take antihistamine.
I have hyper from a nodule. When I was prescribed carbimazole & propranolol I decided to stop my loratadine, which I’d brought over the counter & taken a long time, mainly because wasn’t sure if I should take it with the other medication.
I got a terrible bout of rhinitis as a result & discussed with dr & asked if I should start it again? & the dr said, yes, why did you stop you didn’t need to?
Hello JLBKC and welcome to the forum :
I believe so - but if this is associated with taking Carbimazole there is an alternative Anti Thyroid drug - Propylthiouracil - PTU - for short.
Just enclosing the most recent research we have :-

If you would like to read around Graves as it does seem to be a poorly understood and badly treated Auto immune disease I found the most well rounded of all I researched that of Elaine Moore - books and website - elaine-moore.com
I have graves and have taken loads of antihistamines for other reasons. Didn’t have any problems personally.
I took anti histamines every day for 6 months as an experiment . Didnt make me feel better or worse than however I was feeling at the time.
