Maybe why we wait for a cure
I think I may have previously posted some of this story My first Neurologist was a brilliant doctor and brain surgeon and expert in the cardiovascular system. He was head of cardiology at a world class hospital and known around the world. My M.D. went to school with him and they were good friends

Pollen & Hot Weather 🌞
VERY HIGH pollen levels and HIGH TEMPERATURES are forecast over the next few days. Allergies to pollen cause hay fever, which can trigger or cause your symptoms to flare up if you have asthma. Make sure you take your hay fever medicines like antihistamines and/or nasal sprays and try to avoid going

Itching and burning
I'm taking 100mg Niraparib, started February with a couple of stop, starts re platelets. Was on 200mg at the start but had constant headaches so dosage was lowered. Had a break to the sun in April and all was fine. Now having another break in the sun with a slightly more intense heat. I'm staying out

Heat rash query!
Hello all. I just wondered if Pred/AA/Omeprazole has made anymore vulnerable to getting heat rash? We are venturing abroad next week for the first time pre-pandemic. In the past I’ve suffered a slight bit of heat rash, but since I’ve been on the Pred etc I’m just wondering if it makes one more vulnerable

Trying to get help can feel so discouraging
Hi there. I feel like I've tried so hard to get medication, but nothing has helped since I had klonopin maybe 9 years ago. I've also struggled to get and stay in therapy, particularly in the last 6 months. It always takes weeks for an intake where I end up being told I don't qualify. Or this company

Dust Allergy
I have an itchy throat accompanied by blocked nose and sometimes blocked ear. It started when i moved in a flat with carpeted floors. So I think I have a dust mite allergy but not sure. Does anyone experience similar symptoms? Do antihistamines work?

Actemra injection skin reaction
A couple of weeks ago I asked if anyone had the skin reaction to weekly Actemra injections because I was getting a large itchy red rash right across my thigh that lasted about 4 days. Its a very common reaction apparently. I was advised to take an antihistamine (Loratadine) but wasn't happy with that

Feeling sorry for myself
Hello. I have had a severe allergic reaction to one or more of my drops. I've been stable on them all for some weeks/months. It started with itchy eyes and got gradually worse and now my eyes are mega sore, bloodshot and the skin around them and spreading down my cheeks ( as they water ++) puffy, intensely

Update eye issues, MS issues and any reflections
I previously reported some eye issues in early March for an epiretinal membrane surgery (Dec 21 )that was supposed to help my vision be clearer, but it worsened. In March 22eye surgeon said surgery well healed, "brain not talking to eyes" and suggested immediate visit with neuro. MRi finally done April

Fexofenadine Side Effects
Hi, after speaking with a pharmacist yesterday they suggested switching from Acrivastine antihistamines to Fexofenadine for my hay fever. I took one last night and I’m really struggling with sleep tonight and was wondering if that was a side effect of the Fexofenadine? Has anyone else experienced this

Itching/hives with Lupus?
Hi All! Anyone else get hives, itching and itchy rashes with Lupus? I never had these before Lupus but I have them now! If so what has helped you? I've tried H1 antihistamines (allergies/zyrtec) and upping the dosage but it doesn't seem to help enough! The itching is all over and the hives can last

Late onset asthma confusion
I am aged 50, I’ve never had any problems with my chest before. I had a chest infection in December. I was given antibiotics, steroids and salbutamol inhaler and told that there was a possibility I might have asthma. My symptoms improved with the treatment. But the tight chest and sporadic cough have

Side effects after Prednisolone withdrawal
After 3 1/2 years on Prednisolone for GCA (confirmed by biopsy), I have managed the very slow taper off the drug, had bloods done after 3 weeks and all seems OK. However, I have a very, very itchy, blotchy skin which is soothed somewhat by antihistamine tablets and copious creaming and very stiff arms
