Tired, no energy, bad neck pains and headaches, blurred vision, sore throat and some swelling on neck.
Hi all and good morning. I am writing on here as don't know what to do. I feel so tired all day even if I have a good sleep. My energy is zero, I've had bad neck pain and migraine headaches for 10 days on trot when normally it's just a few days. My eyes are blurred and feel dizzy. I've been getting a

So now what ! !
Went to hospital this morning for a Myocardial Perfusion heart stress scan. Did not like the sound of it nor the stress and symptoms I was told to expect my heart to go through, but it was necessary so off I went. My husband dropped me off at the hospital before he went to work so I had 3 hours to pass

Quite impressed with first EP consultation appointment.
I had my first EP consultation less than 2 weeks ago and was told I would be sent an NHS appointment for a couple of tests. Lo and behold I now have 5 tests scheduled: Myocardial Perfusion heart stress scan; Myocardial Perfusion heart rest scan.; Echocardigram; 24 hour Holter monitor; Treadmill exercise

Anyone had a Myocardial Perfusion(heart) Stress Scan and a separate Myocardial Perfusion rest scan.
Been referred for the above tests by my EP. Thought I was to have an angiogram and simple heart scan. The letter has arrived today and the appointments are for Thursday next week and Wednesday the week after. I am unnerved by it as it is not what I was expecting. Literally just back from GP appointment

Chemotherapy has stopped working
Unfortunately it filled with fluid again so we were advised to have a
pleural
effusion
. The pleurodesis operation went ahead and seemed to be a success, my breathing improved and my cough stopped.

Response to Sue about severe headaches
I'm sorry you're struggling so much with terrible headaches. Some causes of severe headaches never show up on any tests or scans, even the newer brain perfusion MRI's. It's discouraging not to be believed or told that "everyone gets headaches" when you know yours are abnormally BAD. Was your neurologist

Yesterday was results day.. a mixed bag
So I went back to Papworth yesterday to get my results of recent tests, have been left with mixed feelings really. CT scan showed no worsening since previous scan - air trapping and atelectasis with the obvious lung reduction from scoliosis but no evidence of bronchiectasis thankfully :) LFT's showed

My Behcet's headaches - "Atypical migraines"
I don't know about the availability of perfusion MRI's at the Behcet's Centres of Excellence, but it might be helpful to print out the full color version of the article I gave a link to and discuss it with your neurologist. It's common for Behcet's patients to have "normal" MRI brain scans when evidence

Perfusion brain MRI's are much better at showing proof of Behcet's neurological involvement than regular MRI's
Now that neurologists have discovered that perfusion MRI's (p-MRI's) are more sensitive to detecting Behcet's neurological involvement in the brain, fewer specialists will rely on regular MRI's alone to say a patient doesn't have evidence of neuro-BD. In this 2012 study, many Behcet's patients

Slipped disc - does an injection / spinal fusion really solve the problem?
Had back pain on and off for 5 yrs (had a few nasty falls in snow in 20s). 1 Sept 2012 had to call an ambulance as had sciatica, loss of bladder control and pelvic and back pain. Mri in hospital confirmed L4/L5 central prolapsed disc and degenerative disc disease. Also have Coeliac Disease (I like to

Joint replacement or fusion
Has anyone had joint replacement or fusion? I'm wondering whether its worth it in the end? Specifically big toe fusion, and wrist and thumb joint fusion or replacement? I'd like to hear your experiences. Thanks
