Myocardial perfusion scan - reason?
Ive got a scan coming up after my HA and whilst i can see that it is a procedure that will allow drs the ability to see how my heart is performing , i cant quite see how it will help them sort things if there is anything that is wrong . As you can see I'm feeling a bit negative - apologies

Hi everyone. I’ve appreciated reading everyone else’s posts and hearing about the individual journeys we have all been on with MBC. Do I or Don't I - more than a little confused now
After suffering from Cardio problems for more years than pussy was a kitten I ended up being totally taken aback at an appointment that had been postponed 3 times last Monday. Having been told I was in Heart Failure and taking a pile of pills the original plan last October was to have a Micro Perfusion

Myocardial Perfusion Test.
Good morning everyone. Has any of you had a Perfusion test done. I did on Monday. It was a terrible experience. I had terrible chest pains during and after the test. Than a nose bleed. Than went into the scanner. And the scan turned out no good. So they gave me a bottle of water and a breakfast bar tried

Just wondering, when doctors talk about 'your age' during discussions are they perhaps referring to physical age, not chronological?
I was set off thinking on this track by various posts/replies where responses have not seemed completely appropriate once the full picture emerged. For instance, if I complained I had been refused a second ablation (I haven't, but not been encouraged) 'considering your age' I know what the reaction from

Cardiologist with imagination in or near West Midlands?
Discharged by NHS after myocardial perfusion scan results were ‘entirely normal’, I had three angina-like attacks the following week. GP cannot re-refer, but will write for advice if pain responds to GTN spray, but I’ve not been able to test that yet. Afriend with a medical background has advised me

Surgery risk
Hi all, I have severe brittle asthma, and I recently saw neurosurgeon as I have severe lower back pain. I have been told I need a spinal fusion but because of the anaesthetic risk i am not a candidate for surgery. Has anyone else experienced this?

Bladder problems (Interstim implant), period pain, back pain, pelvic pain, sex pain. Success stories please?!
I then left with a friend to travel Asia for 3 months and had to head home early after being hospitalised with pneumonia and
pleural
effusion
in Cambodia. It took me 3 months to recover before me and my boyfriend headed out again for 6 months more of travelling.

Scoliosis and Osteopathy
Has anyone had success in being “straightened up” by osteopathy? The scoliosis was caused by my third spinal fusion three years ago. After two treatments, am certainly straighter but the pain is really awful. Is it normal to feel great for two days after treatment, and the dreadful pain kicking in for

Dad over two weeks in a short stay ward
He has infections, pulmonary oedema,
pleural
effusion
and cellulitis but all are now clear, even his blood, and yet his infection markers keep going up and down and he remains on intravenous antibiotics. He has a fungal infection due to the antibiotics, I assume, and remains catheterised.

W7R1 first five mins ?
Phew that was a hot one ! Not sure why but I am finding that in the first five minutes of my longer run I'm really struggling with my breathing, then it just seems to sort itself out. Can't believe that I am actually running for 25 mins non stop, 11 years ago I had a spinal fusion and never thought I'd

End of Trial
If I did not have to this rare
pleural
effusion
on my right called a chylothorax. I think he would recommend a treatment break. I have had two drains in the last month and my breathing is becoming more uncomfortable. I due to see my oncologist next Wednesday for an end of trial appointment.
