Hi everyone, Up till now I have been taking Thybon T3 only but my doctor wanted me to add T4 , so I added Tirosint 50. I did feel tired so I reduced my T3 slightly. My question is, do I take the T4 with the T3 in the morning, or before? I also take T3 in evening. I am trying to do bloods, tried twice

Tavegil
In our country, there is an inexpensive and affordable drug that prolongs life and improves its quality even in children with a cerebral form, called Tavegil, the active ingredient is clemastine fumarate.

Stiff person's disease and pernicious anemia connection - Celine Dion
I was just watching a news piece on Celine Dion where she announces that she can't do her 2023 tour because she's been suffering for a very long time with Stiff Person's Disease. The symptoms that she was talking about had me wondering if it had something to do with autoimmune deficiencies. And this

Hydrea hair
Hi folks, I've been on 500 mg of Hydrea daily since 1st March. Apart from the tiredness I've noticed that my hair doesn't feel like my normal hair. I never had fabulous tumbling locks but my hair feels dull, fuzzy and flat. My hairdresser suspects it's the drug. Anyone else experienced this and did

Does anyone have any experience of Dr Paul Ryan working in Medway Kent. He is not on Thyroid UK list. I am now suffering vitiligo all over my face which is distressing with losing two thirds of my hair. Waiting to see a Haematologist. Last blood test results were all abnormal. My husband now has high

Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency
I was diagnosed with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency over 2 years ago. I now have emphysema and high white blood cell count. But my doctor says I no longer have alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Is this possible??

Teva brand T3
Please could you advise if the Teva brand of Lio has the mannitol filler. I have just changed my Levo brand from Teva to Aristo after advice on this site due to wanting to remain lactose free but without mannitol I have just been prescribed Lio 20mcg to cut into 5mcg doses. Many thanks in anticipation

Gum lesions from Hydrea
I have developed gum lesions from Hydrea. They aren't white places, but bright red. My haematologist didn't have anything to offer me on what to do about it. It is also making my gums recede. My dentist didn't have any answers for what to do about it either. Anyone have experience with this, and what

FT3 FT4 Test 4 hours after taking Tirosint?
Hi, So I always have my thyroid labs taken in the morning on an empty stomach before taking my morning Tirosint dose. I currently take 75 mcg. My recent labs show TSH at .069 (.4 - 4.5) range and FT4 1.37 (.8-1.8) range and FT3 2.58 (2.2-4) range. I know my TSH is low but I donāt feel euthyroid. I have

New paper that consolidates the notion of FT3 protection as the chief aim of the body's thyroid system
This paper is mathematical again. It tries to tie in the body's need to protect its FT3 level against disturbing pressures. The discussion and conclusion are most approachable. In short FT3 measurement is strongly recommended because of it being less sensitive to FT4 changes

I have attached my bloods (managed to get t3 tested as well. I was on 125mcg of tirosint (levo) and 5mcg of compounded t3. I found out last week that you can not get tirosint anywhere in England until July as there are issues with manufacture in the USA. I was just about to run out of meds, as I

St Johns Wort
I am taking 75 levothyroxine, struggling with my newly retired husband at home (I work from home) .. for this 'adjustment' period I got some St Johns Wort which I used wonderfully whilst my children were small (mummy's holiday tablets!). On reading the contraindications, which are long, I see that thyroid

Plant Sterols.
Is it safe to take plant sterols with levothyroxine? I've been told my cholesterol is high, it's 6.1 and my GP wants me to take Statins. I am not happy about this as I feel sure they will upset my IBS so I wondered if plant sterols were compatible with levothyroxine.

Can levothyroxine cause breast enlargement?
Is it the hypothyroidism or the medication causing my growing breasts? I feel so uncomfortable.
