Low Fasting Gastrin.
Hey guys, I had a blood test done recently and got some of the normal tests done. I got a CBC and HGB/HCT came back normal and I got an MMA test done and it came back at 99 (0-378 normal) so all of that checks out. This time though I did get a serum gastrin test for the first time. It came back at

Do people's symptoms come and go?
I wonder if people with Hashimotos generally feel consistent day to day? Or do your symptoms fluctuate quite noticeably on some days? Obviously we'd expect there to be some variation generally but this feels really noticeable today. I'm currently hypo and am increasing meds with GP and definitely generally

Long term Magnesium Oxide Use
Hi a couple of months ago I decided to start taking Magnesium Oxide 250 mg to see if it would help with tiredness. I know that having Hashimotos/Underactive Thyroid we can lack certain vitamins. I can’t believe the difference it’s made! I take one tablet in the evening and I have been waking up feeling

Memantine?
Hi! I was wondering if anyone is taking memantine? (Brand name Namenda in the US). I am planning to try it again for my migraines/auras and started researching again (at 4 am due to my fun insomnia). Apparently there is a correlation between migraines and Alzheimer’s which got me googling studies again

Keppra for Spasticity
Hello folks. I really thought I knew it all. I was prescribed Keppra after my seizure, this is on top of my Gabapentin and Lyrica. I wasn't too sure about continuing, not another drug, how many more drugs?? Also, my friend takes Keppra, and it gives him shocking headaches, though he is an alcoholic

Survey-based Natural History Study for Men and Women with AMN
I received the following email from ULF inviting to participate in a survey-based natural history study for men and women with AMN. Please share and participate too. Approximately 40-45 % of males and 50-65% of female carriers with X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy develop the adult-onset form called adrenomyeloneuropathy

Amino acids and creatine
Yes I take creatine (5g day) and several amino acids (all 21 if possible). All of the above are very good for optimum muscle performance, especially recovery. Some amino acids are needed for cellular functions and brain health. No doctor will tell you this. You have to find out yourself. Lots of good

After kasai
After some advice.... My daughter had the kasai procedure last week and obviously I am now poo paranoid. She had 3 dark green poos after surgery but now they are very pale again? Is this normal? Do we just have to wait and see what happens in the next week or so or should they be dark already?

Alagille Syndrome/TOF with Pulmonary Atresia
Hi everyone, my son was diagnosed with alagille syndrome when he was one month old. At first they thought it was only tetralogy of fallot (TOF). At one month old he was having tet spell and had to have open heart surgery. They put a cardiac central shunt to allow better blood flow to his lung. That procedure
