Hello all. I'm Jane, I've had panic issues since 1982. For me, just carrying some pills in my pocket helps a great deal. I don't have to take them often, it's that they are there that calms me. I have had it in my mind to try to create something like this for others. My idea is a phone app where you

Just Wondering!
Hope everyone is well and staying warm! I was just wondering, I have a couple of different issues and have an appointment with a Private Pain Specialist today. I have Chronic Painful Bladder Syndrome, Bladder Reflex, Kidney Reflex and a Duplex Kidney on my left side. This causes me to get CONSTANT UTI's

Recommendation of tens machine both use in labour and for endo pain?
Hello, I'm thinking of buying a tens machine for labour, but also want it to be an investment for post labour when my endo pains come back with a likely vengeance. I am a bit sceptical about how effective it'll be for both, but figure it might be worth a go... So has anyone used a model that worked for

Impressive Benefits Of Neem
There are certain anti-inflammatory properties in neem leaves. This is especially exciting for arthritis research. The paste or oil, when applied to aching joints and muscles due to arthritis can significantly reduce pain and discomfort, and even increase flexibility if consistently used. https://www.organicfacts.net

Shingles jab
Thank you all for your replies about the 2 types of shingles jabs and for PMRpro's site redirection... mmmm... all responses indicate missing this generous offer! Do GPs read the info? I have very little faith in my current GP so will tackle the surgery forewarned and, if necessary, forearmed.

Statins for women
You guys might be getting a little sick of my ongoing rants about statins (especially since I'm preaching to the choir) but I do like practicing my ranting skills, and we get a surprising number of women both here and on the NHS group who are "on statins". I did a bit of googling to see what the latest

Tapering again.
Hello to all you lovely people who have helped me over the last week. Things have now progressed further and this morning I noticed a rash where the pain had been. A visit to the doctor confirmed my suspicion of shingles. So I think I did have a PMR flare but I now also have shingles. Life is such fun

SOS - accident - not thyroid related
Yesterday my husband fell (there was a pothole) crossing the road and pulled me down with him. He is perfectly ok apart from a grazed finger, but I fell on my right side and the side of both knees. We were very near our medical centre, so went in and were seen by a nurse. She bathed and dressed my knees

ITP and shingles
If you've had ITP, can you take acyclovir? As having been given these for shingles, but knowing that they lower your immune system,? Cheers

Hello, my name is MS
Hi, my name is MS and I'm an invisible chronic illness. I am now velcroed to you for life. Others around you can't see me or hear me, but YOUR body feels me. I can attack you anywhere and anyhow I please. I can cause severe pain, or, if I'm in a good mood, I can just cause you to ache all over. Remember

Pudendal Nerve Entrapment
Hi, I have been suffering with pudendal nerve entrapment since June 2015 and to date am still in pain. I take Gabapentin and amiltriptyline for the pain but to be perfectly honest, they are not that effective. I have had every single test done under the sun including xrays, ultrasounds, Scans, MRIs
