I'm thinking of buying a tens machine for labour, but also want it to be an investment for post labour when my endo pains come back with a likely vengeance.
I am a bit sceptical about how effective it'll be for both, but figure it might be worth a go...
So has anyone used a model that worked for both that they would recommend? Or anyone got a model that they use for endo pain that they feel is particularly effective that I could use for both?
Many thanks

Hi Bonita, I am in exactly the same boat as you. I’m 29 weeks pregnant and bought a tens machine a couple of years back from boots for my stage 4 endo which I am skeptical about using, however I had a go last night because the back pain was horrendous. I can’t say it got rid of the pain but it was definitely a distraction and a better alternative to codeine which completely constipates me. I do think you have to use them regularly to experience the benefits but maybe I’m wrong because some people swear by them. I will be taking mine into labour with me just as an option. Mine is just a simple boots cheap version and I can’t see buying a more expensive one would make any difference to be honest but again I could be wrong about that too. Give it a try and see if it works for you and then maybe buy a more expensive brand if it’s effective would be my advice. Good luck with your labour and new baby, kind regards x
