GCA, now PMR as well?
Hello everyone, I would be very grateful for your advice. I was diagnosed with GCA July 2021 and started on 60mg of Pred. I’ve had a bumpy year but am now down to 12 trying to get to 11.5 or 11. Have tried 3 times, twice to 11 and once to 11.5 each time I’ve felt very unwell and stayed on 12 for week

Phenylethylamine is NOT Palmitoylethanolamide! They are both called PEA. I take Palmitoylethanolamide
It is really unfortunate that both Phenylethylamine and Palmitoylethanolamide are called PEA as they are totally different supplements. [u]

Scientists zero in on genetic causes of Parkinson's
A new study adds an evident on that In two new papers, scientists provide insight into the function of a protein called VPS13C, one of the molecular suspects underlying Parkinson's . they reported that VPS13C forms a bridge between two subcellular organelles—the endoplasmic reticulum and the lysosome

Advice please
I’m currently on holiday so away from my GP Surgery. On 1st July I started having whooshes of the bottom. Despite eating bland food, I am easily having to dash to the toilet at least twice an hour. Tried taking Imodium seems to work for 4 hours then I am back to square one. 😭needless to say all my muscles

Slowing the Progression of PD (adapted from a book)
“Strength of body, strength of mind and soul is vitally important. These things are important for anyone in any situation, but especially for those of us who find ourselves fighting this weakening disease. The Clinical Value of Thyroid Hormone Levels and Correlation with Severity of Liver Cirrhosis
For goodness sake, medical folk, wake up to testing FT3! Liver specialists are now added to the numerous other non-endocrinologists who have seen a positive benefit in testing FT3. With FT3 marking the severity of liver cirrhosis and an indication of the patient's prognosis, that is quite some reason
