Nasal Insulin and Parkinson's - more information.
Here is more on what I was talking about. Sorry to take so long to get back - I have been having computer and phone issues for days, it seems, and working two jobs. This is more than just promising, for me it is working. I haven't tried the liraglutide (GLP - 1 peptide) yet but I take that so as soon

L-Theanine for Sleep
Since I started taking many amino acids that help so much, I recently ordered L-theanine because it said it "promotes relaxation". Lo and behold it does and helps me sleep through the night if I take it just before. Natural sleep aids I've tried usually don't give 8 hour relaxation or quiet internal

Your Brain on Diet Soda: Aspartame Effects on the Brain
“Although aspartame is a known trigger of Parkinson’s disease, the Michael J. Fox Foundation is still seeking the elusive cause and cure. Are Depression and Anger Linked to Parkinson’s?
My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 8 mos ago. He has always had some issues with patience and anger, but learned to managed it, mostly. Over the last year, it has gotten much worse and continues to escalate. I don’t know if it’s due to having to deal with the problems of PD, or if it is caused

Never Give Up!!! Good morning to all. My wife "Pam", was officially diagnosed with PSP in January 2017. She had a "DAT" scan in Grand Rapids, Mi. She just turned 67, I'm 64. We live in southern Michigan, USA. I took an early retirement in August 2017 to stay home and take care of her. Like everyone

Dreams PLUS Parkinson's, You Could Be at Risk for Dementia
"If You Have These Types of Dreams, You Could Be at Risk for Dementia. Whether or not you tend to remember your dreams, everyone can recall that most terrifying nightmare. Maybe you were being chased by someone or something. Or you were late for a big exam. Or all your teeth fell out. Whatever it was

Hand mudras to help tremors
I've posted before about hand mudras to help tremors. I posted a picture before. The link here is to a video. (Actually I can't straighten my fingers as much as the man in the video does but it doesn't seem to matter). I find this mudra in particular does calm my tremor. I hold it for up to 15 minutes

Allosteric Modulator Alleviates Parkinsonism in Primates
This work provides a demonstration that a positive allosteric modulator of metabotropic glutamate receptor 4 can alleviate the motor symptoms of PD and the motor complications induced by l‐dopa in primates. PXT002331 is the first compound of its class to enter phase IIa clinical trials. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com

Adding Lexapro to Sinemet for my Parkinson's
Hi folks, I'm willason, I'm new here as of 10/9/18, and this is my first post. I'm a male in my 50s. I joined to have a sounding board of other Parkinson's patients as I deal with managing my own PD, which was diagnosed in June of 2016. I really don't have anyone that I can talk to about these issues

Tasigna (nilotinib) and clinical trials
Rigorous clinical trials are essential in order to reliably establish both the safety and efficacy of new drugs for the treatment of a particular condition. These trials involve large numbers of people, who are closely monitored at regular intervals through standardised tests and examinations undertaken
