My Dad was finally diagnosed with PSP in December last year after being misdiagnosed with
Parkinsonism
. Since June 2018 he has lived at a Nursing Home but has steadily being going downhill. The hard part is that I live overseas so I don't get to spend nearly as much time as I would like with him.

Important!! Canadian Dr. who prescribes Nilotinib Off Label
I have been following Georgetown University’s research with the use of Nilotinib, the 12 person trial, and the phase 2 75 double-blind recent trial. It appears to me that the drug is well-tolerated, safe if precautions are followed, and the results seem to indicate that it will arrest the progression

Is Zoloft a good choice for treating depression/anxiety?
My mom had her first visit with a psychiatrist today recommended by her neurologist. After reviewing her medication list and blood work and speaking with her, she wants her to start taking Zoloft. She also wants her to increase her clonozapam from 1/2 a tab at night to a whole pill to help with restless

Magnesium citrate 500 sleep “miracle “
If you have slept poorly over years and decades as I have there is likely to be little belief that one little pill can make such a difference. I have been on a 2 year journey with magnesium where I persevered for ages with the spray, made fitful progress it felt like 2 steps forward and one back and

Advice please.
Mum has been constipated for a minimum 11 days now. She has had 4 enemas in total, today’s one Arachis oil was taken a few hours ago but still no movement. Mum has been through the mill lately and feel this could be fatal. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

PD and speech
My symptoms are largely under control with sinemet, with no sign of speech problems. The local Parkinson support group offers a music therapy program. Does anyone have experience with music therapy for Parkinsons people?

Parkinsons and bipolar
Hi, Does anyone have any views on these three questions? Thanks in advance for your answers and apologies, some of this posted before. When it's nighttime/darkness it feels as though everything is further away and dimmer than it used to be- as if I'm looking down the wrong end of a telescope. I also

Carnosine. Is it ok to taken dissolved with vitamins and mannitol?
Or will they interact? Carnosine should be taken on empty stomach but is it ok to take with vitamins and mannitol? Currently hubby takes mannitol, d-ribose, inositol, b2, b5 dissolved in water bottle over the day. I would like to put the l-carnosine that he takes separately in with it for simplicity

Nilotinib (Tasigna) Warning related to QT Wave and Sudden Deaths
I realize the Phase 2 CT for Nilotinib has gotten some very positive reviews on this forum, but just be aware of some of the serious downside with this drug. My first point should be obvious to anyone who has thoroughly read the results of the CT conference presentation or you can scroll down the comments

Celexa Parkinson’s problem.
A little backstory to my Parkinson’s. 6 years ago my Dad died suddenly and completely unexpectedly. We ran a stressful family business together, so afterwards it was understandably tough. That is when I think my Parkinson’s started. Depression was my first symptom. I started on 20 mg of Celexa at that

Thumbs up for Nilotinib - Phase II Trials
Those of you who are following clinical trials for repurposed drugs that offer potential to slow or halt the progression of PD will no doubt recall the highly favorable reports from the Phase I trial of Nilotinib that was done at Georgetown University and was reported on in October of 2015. You will
