Acetaminophen and High Blood Press
😳😳Yesterday, there was a post on my FB with a poorly loaded (corrupted) video, it looked official, But I thought a Hoax. So this morning I goggled and found: "Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is not an anti-inflammatory drug and has not been linked to heart disease and stroke. However, acetaminophen, like

Hi, the gynae has told me that my endo has come back and I’ll need a scan to confirm where etc. I’m just wondering how long the wait will be roughly. I’m in agony and tramadol, naproxen and paracetamol aren’t helping

Can a TENS device help with mood and pain relief?
A TENS device has a pad which is attached to your body. Small electrical pulses are sent to the affected area which can either distract you from pain or even dismiss it completely. I tried it for Auto Immune Encephalitis and Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It's relatively early days as we've

MTX injections side effects & paracetamol
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having a nice weekend. Just a quick question, I started MTX injections two weeks ago. The first week was fine enough, I was really spaced & tired the day after (weds), but this week has been pretty nasty. I had the Weds meds hangover again, then was ok until yesterday,

Fibromyalgia nightmare
Crazy cat lady I have refused antidepressants to help with fibromyalgia pain. I take 6 paracetamol a day to take the edge off . I take a tramadol every other night so I can sleep. Does anyone have constant hip pain? I can’t get any relief at all . Wondering if I should have an X-ray to rule out damage

Covid and migraines
I have mild bronchiectasis and asthma which I keep well under control. I’m in the last stages (I hope) of Covid, still testing positive after ten days, and feel very fortunate that it has not had any detrimental affect on my lung conditions. However, I continue to sleep for England and in last five

Ibs flare up
I've been having a lot of pain recently and last night I had to make two urgent trips to the bathroom where I had a lot of diarhea and stomach cramps the pain was excruciating. I didn't have to lie on the bathroom floor this time. Today my colon aches and is very sore the dicycloverine and paracetamol

Different symptoms on reducing
I have had PMR for nearly seven years and have been on prednisolone for six and a half. I seem to be beyond adrenal problems as fatigue symptoms which have been an issue since 8mg are now barely there at 2.5mg. BUT my elbows and thumbs are really quite painful. Paracetamol and voltarol gel do not help

Is PMR always bilateral?
It’s 2 1/2 years since original onset and diagnosis of PMR with bilateral upper arm pain. I started on 15mg of Pred and have been reducing slowly using Dorset Lady’s plan of 1/2mg reduction every 5 weeks, since I got to 8mg. However since reducing from 4 to 3 1/2 mg I have pulsating pain in my right

Laproscopy done Yesterday
Hello I had the news I don't have endo which is what was expected. I'm rather upset as I was hoping to get a diagnosis of something! I just really want answers. I was booked in under a cancellation and from a Google I don't think the lead surgeon specialised in endometriosis but the hosptial is recognised

Hello I recently had the news I don't have endo which is what was expected. I'm rather upset as I was hoping to get a diagnosis of something! I just really want answers. Bit of background- I'm 26 and been pretty much signed off since February. The pains have been bad since last summer but have been present

New hyperthyroidism
Hello, I’m new here. I was recently (March 2022)diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I was symptomatic with palpitations, pulse rate up to 140b/m, very irritable. all these started about a week after COVID infection(October 2021) and they thought it was post COVID symptoms so the GP won’t see me, they sent

Shall I or shan't I .......
Hot debate of the last week......shall I add 5mg for a short period or is it just general aches and stiffness? Since January and my 11 days positive testing for Covid I stayed at 4 mg for several more weeks. Then started a DSNS taper from 4 to 3.5. All ok after a couple of weeks so I started the next

AF Ablation at London Bridge
Hi guys, after being diagnosed with AF 18 months ago and two Cardioversions, I had an ablation at London Bridge yesterday which now has me in Sinus Rhythm with a nice strong beat. I’d been in persistent AF for 7 months, so had my doubts wrt a successful outcome, seemed to be 50/70% chance. The team
