Stage 3c Ovarian Cancer initial chemo didn’t work
The other option is
palliative
care
and she’ll have 2-3months left. Has anyone had similar experience? And is that really it, the end?

Update on my palliative care
I was taken ill last week. Unable to keep anything down which prevented my oral pain relief being effective. I rang the palliative nurses who told me to call my GP. My GP was very attentive and came to see me very quickly (Wednesday). He changed my meds and told me to try the new routine for a few days

😪😡😪 Need to vent.
So
palliative
care
and the transplant team have asked the gp to provide particular care and meds, have they NO!!! Can I make an appointment to speak to a gp? NO!!! The only thing to reduce me to tears is trying to deal with the incompetence of my gp surgery.

Change from Ropinerole to Rigotine patches
I am stage 4 and
Palliative
care
for Sarcoma with mets in liver, chest wall and spine. I told him I can’t wean off Ropinerole so he suggested changing to Rigotine patches which, as I also have IBS badly, he thinks will be better. They don’t have to go through the gut.

Question to my NJ sisters
I’d really appreciate if you can share the names of your oncologist and
palliative
care
physician. Feel free to pm me if you’re more comfortable to do it. Thank you!

Failed tumour surgery, what are my options now?
I have been referred to a hospice for pain relief/
palliative
care
. I am in clinic this week to find out next steps. I am 47 and have 2 children aged 10 and 12 and desperately want to get as many more years as I can to spend with them and my husband.

Decided to opt out of at home hospice after six weeks
When I complained I said my former
palliative
care
doctor, who is board certified in hospice and
palliative
care
wrote it so that I could 1-2 every four hours as needed. The nurse called him and then called me back and said "he said he is not comfortable writing it like that."

Just tired?
Palliative
care
thought we only had weeks/short months early in December but I thought it would be the lack of swallow that caused it. I'm not sure if she's just tired but she's sleeping most of the day now or could she be fading away?

Advice please - CBD
He has now been released home for
palliative
care
. He is non-verbal, he has no mobility, he is doubley incontinent and is bedbound. My mum now has carers that come in 4 times a day to help with his personal care as she cannot do it anymore.

The consulted
palliative

which seems like they are thinking there is nothing else to be done. However, I feel like she needs more time to recover and gain mobility. She was breathing on her own with help of c-pap for five days straight.

I can't cope with the rollercoaster
My Mun is 95 and in
palliative
care
. She has been in bed for the past 8 weeks and needs 24 hour care. She is at home and I have moved in for the last 8 weeks. I have carers 3 times a day. I can't cope with the rollercoaster of not knowing what each day will bring.

Interestingly their interests ranged from cardiovascular, mental health, to gynaecology and
palliative

and five of them stated paediatrics as a special interest.
