Amitriptyline
I have been taking amriptyline for nerve
pain
for the past two months but have been unable to sleep properly, (not because of the nerve
pain
). I understand that amriptyline typically makes people sleep better but I seem to have the opposite effect. Does anyone have any experience of this?

Sciatica
Pain
in one hip and assumed it was a spike so went back to 12mg as advised by doctor. However symptoms still there after 3 weeks and appear to be sciatica. As only in one hip. Very painful and no painkiller helps . Could this be PMR but only in one hip. No
pain
in shoulders either.

Apps for tracking endo pain
Hi, does anyone know of any apps that I can use to track when my symptoms are and what the symptoms are as I am struggling with period tracking apps as I don't have periods due to contraception but still have bad flare ups that I need to manage? I have also noticed that my flare ups tend to get more

Stomach pain and weight loss
Hi, I’ve been undergoing investigation for a rare stomach issue (nutcracker syndrome) but now they’re saying it’s not that and could be related to my fibro instead- i’ve had significant unexplained weightloss, stomach pains, headaches, black floaters in vision - does anyone have any ideas of what to

Do we have to have a laproscopy?
Hi all, I've been referred for an emergency laproscopy for my
pain
. I suspect endometriosis. But the bigger Q is: do I need the surgery? I guess yes if it can remove the endometriosis and relieve the
pain
, but is it necessary for being treated for
pain
?

But I still had some back

so I have started another course of antibiotics yesterday, but I’m waking in the night with
pain
in my back and even now I’m stood up. I can feel the

How is PMR diagnosed?
At the end of January after starting on a weekly alendronate, I began having stiffness in legs and shoulder / arm
pain
. I couldn't get up from an arm chair and sleeping was disrupted by
pain
and trips to the bathroom because I was taking various
pain
meds.

Pain and struggling with weight loss
I had my laparoscopy 2 months ago and have had 3 periods since and they have been so painful and causing constipation one minute and then diarrhoea the next! My fatigue has improved slightly (I have upped my vitamin D) and trying to eat better. I am also really struggling with my weight. I am a vet

Back pain helped by Pantoprazole
Hi have been having upper back
pain
for a few weeks. I find that if I increase my pantoprazole to 2 a day it relieves it. I have been on these for a few years for Hiatus Hernia. Wondering if this is connected or could this be back
pain
caused by anxiety.

Physician empathy
Below is a review of a study on the effect of physician empathy on outcomes in patients with chronic
pain
. RLS patients are similar to chronic
pain
patients so the effect would probably be the same with us. The result is not surprising but nice to see someone is actually studying it.

Nerve pain in left leg.
Further to my last post, Dr. is sending me for a Dexa Scan and an MRI Scan to try and get to the bottom of this. Fingers crossed as it is not getting any better, in fact the Osteopath's exercises seem to make it worse.
