Gabapentin and pain meds which one to go for?
Does anyone know what
pain
medication can be taken with gabapentin (I've tried paracetamol, co-codamol, can't tolerate nsaids or codeine). I'm on a lot of other meds for heart, blood pressure, acid reflux, cholesterol Thank you

Migraine and trimethoprim
Three days into course I developed severe migraine with aura, feeling generally very unwell and increasing neck
pain
and stiffness. I persevered with tablets but migraine aura recurred every few hours and the
pain
was unbearable.

My osteoporosis story so far
It wasn't until April 2024 that I suddenly suffered extreme
pain
in my lower back, which went on for months and is still extremely severe. I had trouble getting my GP to take me seriously for months and it was my physiotherapist who called in the MCAT team to help me.

homozygous, so I have the 2 copies for H63D. I’ve had a thought 💭
Years ago, before Fibromyalgia,CFS, H683D known I had an abdominal scan for general
pain
, results mentioned in passing, some NAFLD & reflective something or other. Nothing happened with that.

Will Biological Therapy drugs work for me?!
I don't like taking
pain
killers, I don't think they work. If I'm desperate ill take ibuprofen and paracetamol. Proper hefty painkillers didn't work for me and only made me feel terrible (Amitriptyline/Diazipam/Nefopam/Naproxen and more.)

is this PMR
However much
pain
& stiffness I was in he always ruled out PMR as I did not have every single symptom, my tapering was never altered in the 2 years. Every day now I wake up to stiffness in fingers, buttocks, thighs.,lower back, neck.

maybe not PMR!
I feel relieved to be seen by a consultant and today having the first relatively
pain
free day in months. My physio ( private) is also a godsend i must say- each week unlocking muscles and tendons that would otherwise cripple me! So the jouney continues!! Thank you all for your support.

Hypo symptoms but doctors unsympathetic
For the last 18 months I have been struggling with
pain
in my neck/throat, left hand side, centred on thyroid area but radiates up into throat even ears and down into chest, so it has been hard to locate.

This
pain
/issue is new to me and haven’t experienced any issues like it before. Had to go back to using regular painkillers again. Have also had low back

Final lap?
Radiation to spine and
pain
relieved. Docetaxel started but discontinued due to severe allergic reaction. Nothing for a a few months apart from Degaralix and zolendronic acid. Developed heart failure which is now well regulated so oncologist looking at options. Seems only Carboplatin.

pain
/tingling please?

Knee replacement and Parkinson's
He could put up with the knee
pain
with painkillers when necessary but of course we then have the constipation problem , made worse by Parkinson's itself! ( It's a great life 😬🤔....)

Recieved rheumatologist letter and conclusion
He reported that the introduction of Pred at 15mg was no more than an effective
pain
killer and also the reason why I could not successfully taper down from 15mg. The fact that my inflammatory markers have not changed also indicates that this was never PMR.
