So fed up
Back aches, neck aches, knee
pain
and now I can't use my right arm as my shoulder joint is extremely painful. I've tried cod liver oil along with other supplements which the name of them escapes me at the mo, yes I'm also losing my memory.

What is classed as a flare?
Hi, I was diagnosed in November, had a steroid injection and started on MTX, once the steroid started wearing off the
pain
and swelling in my knees returned straight away but not in my hands, they have been great.

sciatica and PD?
The GP only prescribes
pain
killers which don't really help. Web research seems to only suggest excercise stretching baby pose etc - which helps but I would like to get rid of this thing.

PMR UPDATE
She is working with me on this and I can't tell you how relieved I am to not have as much
pain
as I have been in the last year. I still have sciatica and back
pain
but this is like 80% better than what it was.

mother of all flare ups
About 2 weeks ago I went to the hospital with really bad stomach pains and sickness, had a check and some bloods don, Saw the doctor whom said it was gastritis, I was given 2 different antibiotics and
pain
killers to take. Well I’ve finished the course and WOW my tummy is not happy.

potential endo, no confirmed diagnosis.
My periods quickly resumed and then started the
pain
, and my gosh The
PAIN
when needing the toilet during my period has been unbearable. To the point I thought my appendix had burst at one point. I had had the marina coil fitted 6 weeks ago and since then my symptoms appear to have worsened?

pain relief for rotator cuff injury
I would like to know if low doses of a stronger
pain
medication is easier on the liver. Doctors in the US are very hesitant to prescribe
pain
medication or treat
pain
in general and I just want to know the truth. At this point PBC is not my top concern.

All I’ve been offered is birth control and
pain
medication - birth control just isn’t for me as they really impact my mental health. Where do I go from here? Do I just soldier on daily or do I try to find a Gynae team who will work with a Gastro team to operate?

steroids after a fall…
I’m especially bad at night when laying down and the
pain
is at it’s worse. I’m taking painkillers (co-codamol) that work for a while till they wear off….Would anyone know if increasing my steroids would help?

Total knee replacement - 6 weeks on
I'm still taking Tramadol and think I'll need to continue taking that for a while yet to take the edge off the
pain
. For those of you who have already had a TKR, how long were you taking strong
pain
killers for in your recovery?

While I wait for an appointment at the
Pain
Clinic, I was recommended by the musculoskeletal specialist to try a drug called gabapentin. My doctor put me on another from this group of drugs called Amytriptoline. I have definitely noticed an improvement. I have been taking it for nearly three weeks.

Two Years On - What Treatment?
My
pain
levels are an average of 7/10, but I'm not allowed painkillers because the UK doesn't treat chronic
pain
with painkillers anymore [because they're not a solution, therefore not allowed - which is BS, but that's politics stepping into medicine for ya].

Swelling or numbness - is it a choice?
All the replies stated that I shouldn't be getting numbness and/ or
pain
and this was in keeping with what I believed as well.

Im going to ask him about painkillers to help with the back
pain
and I want to know which one is effective and suitable for me with AF and taking regular anticoagulants. I’ve only ever used Paracetamol in the past as I’m concerned about raising my HR but they are not any use with this type of
pain
.

Unexplained headaches
I still have residual
pain
in my lower back, hips and buttocks but understand that not everyone is
pain
free on pred but as long as it stays at the same level I can soldier on. In August I started having headaches. They are severe, on the right temple and
pain
in the right upper jawline.
