I would add that I am also wearing my second
pacemaker
without problems although the medication I take is now doing more harm than good I feel, due to the bad side effects they give and are lately affecting me badly Any comments will be gladly accepted BrianBoru

Thyroid and Cholesterol connection
I have a
pacemaker
for a low heart rate, A/F sensitive to cold, nervy jumpy legs and on/off brain fog. I know there is a relationship between high cholesterol and Thyroid problems and would feel happier if I could discuss this with GP and ask for more comprehensive tests.

My Kardia says it is 140 BPM but I believe the Kardia is unreliable if you have a
pacemaker
. Trying to count by using my finger on the side of my neck is difficult because of the crazy rhythm. Any one got any ideas. 140 BPM is fast for me. Sorry for rant.

ILR implantation recovery
I was told about this procedure and the
pacemaker
one at the same time, now I can't remember which one means being unable to raise your arm for a time. Is this the case with the ILR?

medical alert bracelet
I had a
pacemaker
fitted three months ago. I don’t know whether to buy a medical alert bracelet or not. Would appreciate other peoples opinions. Are useful or a waste of money

Pacemaker fitted 10 days ago, when active again?
Hi I have had a
pacemaker
fitted unexpectedly for bradycardia and sinus pauses of up to 5 seconds. I was not really aware of an issue until identified during another unrelated medical intervention when low HR spotted.

Heart scare
I had a my second
pacemaker
fitted a year ago. I'm feeling tired most days and I'm getting pressure down my arms and burning in my chest on exertion. I had a heart scan with contrast that came back normal. No blockage. So why the symptoms. Anyone else get this. I'm going to see my GP next week.

Oxygen levels.
Doctors are considering a
pacemaker
but think it mat be my vagal nerve causing me the problems so I'm now having an exercise stress test next month before any decisions are made.

Pacemaker delay
A
pacemaker
appointment was then made for the 5th December, he has now just had a phone call to say that because he had the cardioversion he cannot have the
pacemaker
fitted. I got the impression it was something to do with the rivaroxaban. Has anyone had a similar experience.

Fluttering sensation in chest
Now it feels as if this fluttery feeling is by my
pacemaker
too. I have a very annoying cold that’s causing lots of pain in my ears but apart from that I feel fine . I have ectopic beats but this feels less if there’s a butterfly inside fluttering its wings .

'Dentist
The hygienist asked if I had a
pacemaker
as the implement he was going to use to remove plaque stops them from working. Think it was ultra sonic? No I don't have a
pacemaker
so he went ahead and did the clean. However I do have ParoxAfb and have been feeling a bit light headed since I got home.

Dual chamber pacemaker and HF
Hi, had a dual chamber
pacemaker
fitted back in July 2022 following AV node ablation. Now have HF, told by HF nurse possible cause may be due to the pacing of the R/H chambers causing strain to the L/H as it needs work harder Had symptoms of HF since being paced, HF just confirmed in the last week through

~AV Node ablation - 3 days post op~
Whilst I feel I am slowly healing I note that my
pacemaker
was reprogrammed to DDIR (whatever that means) to 70. I feel unsteady + dizzy on my feet and still remain rather pale - I am slightly anemic but wonder if enough blood is getting pumped?

VNS query
However, the manikin has a magnet inside the body of doll and so there is a standard warning that there is a chance it could interfere with a
pacemaker
or implanted electronic device. Has anyone had any experiences of any thing the same or similar??

Back Pain
It really is causing me a lot of problems I also have a CRTP
pacemaker
which as made a big difference to my heart failure. I am a seventy four year old female, and I was hoping for a few more active years.

Finally I can have a ablation
He is doing it because I’m young (53) but made me aware I may need a
pacemaker
. He also said there’s only a 30% chance it will work ! I am trying to be positive but also thought would be higher. Had 3 failed cvs, longest lasted a week.
