Pace and Ablate

I havn’t been on this forum for a while …I too was told no more ablations after 2nd in Hampshire I moved to East Sx and it’s been a different story …paid privately to see Cardiologist and he immediately suggested Pace and Ablate…I have had the Pacemaker fitted on the NHS and have the lymph node ablation next week. It really is a post code lottery. Steve do as the others suggest even hopefully if you you can afford it pay privately to see a professional. I waited 8 weeks to have the pacemaker fitted after seeing the Consultant ….just to see a consultant on the nhs was 28 weeks I couldn’t wait that long I am 86 …so persevere their is help and alternatives.

I think you might mean an Atrioventricular (AV) node ablation not a Lymph Node Ablation.

The AV node sends out electrical impulses to make your heart beat. When they implant a pacemaker with this procedure the pacemaker takes over the work of the AV Node.

It is not the same as the other ablations it’s the AV node not a lymph node. The AV node is permanent and stops our natural pacemaker from giving orders to our heart. That is why it is done. The others can be a millimeter off and fail.
