Induction Hobs
I read on the manual that people with a
pacemaker
or other electrical appliance fitted must not use an induction hob. I have two mechanical (St Judes) valves, fitted in 2021. Am I alright to use this hob, or do I need to purchase a different type of hob?

Neuropathy
After coming out of icu I had a
pacemaker
implanted. After being discharged from hospital I was recovering well after about six months when I started getting pins and needles in my legs and a burning sensation at night. It got a lot worse and now both legs below the knees are numb.

Replacement pacemaker lead
Is the recovery time similar to that of having a
pacemaker
put in? I’m a teacher and wondering when I could go back into work. I also run and would like to know how long I should leave it before exercising again. And finally, is it another month off driving? thanks all.

pacemaker and a Fitbit
Last Thursday I had a
pacemaker
fitted and during the operation I asked the nurse who was chatting to me if I could continue wearing a Fitbit. She reassured me I could except I had read contradicting advice on various websites.

A difficult journey
My journey will hit another block now, I am scheduled to have a
pacemaker
fitted on Thursday and I’m not sure when I can run again, and, in view of the previous struggle, if I can restart at 25 mins, I may step back a couple of weeks and build my way up again.

Just been fitted with two lead
pacemaker
. Diagnosed with Tachy/brady and also put on sotalol beta blockers. Everybody keeps saying I should feel so much better but I don't. I am just left with no energy. I am usually very fit.

Things Change Quickly.
I am now priorotised for an MRI closely followed by a
pacemaker
that will have 2 wires attached to my heart and a defibrillator will be fitted. This has came completely out of the blue as i expected to be on meds and improve gradually with that, but all this has frightened me somewhat.

update on girlfriend pacemaker issues
hi everyone, thankyou to all who commented and showed support to my post the other day. Thanks to your comments, we found the issue and she is no longer in pain (except for the incision), we’re so close to getting her out now, but she is having issues with heart rate, they’ve done multiple correction

Going for Ablation
In my last post a few weeks ago I was concerned about a "conversion pause" of 5.8 seconds and my cardiologist had referred me to see an EP to discuss
pacemaker
vs ablation. Well, I saw the EP yesterday and after a lengthy conversation he highly recommended the ablation.

Flying with Pacemaker and AF - still living the dream!
Quite an exciting week as Hubble decided to go flying - in a Spitfire at 89, with
pacemaker
and AF. Just wanted to show - life with AF is not all about the anxt! He LOVED it, especially the 2 victory rolls and got to handle the controls.

pacemaker question
my uncle is doing very well but getting odd shocks and tonight had a strong one. He said it’s still tender, he does have AF so would expect him to get shocks. He is only 9 months post double bypass and valve repair. He is trying to walk but weather hasn’t helped. He’s got a 24 hour monitor on Sunday
