Flying with Pacemaker and AF - still living the dream!

Quite an exciting week as Hubble decided to go flying - in a Spitfire at 89, with pacemaker and AF.

Just wanted to show - life with AF is not all about the anxt! He LOVED it, especially the 2 victory rolls and got to handle the controls. I was in chase plane, flying in close formation and took this photo. I have some a LOT closer so you can clearly see the faces. This particular plane was the first prototype of a double cockpit trainer spitfire developed after WW2.

Me jealous???? Yeaaah! Was that from Goodwood? Boultby? Most of the two seaters were ex Irish airforce.

There’s flights from Exeter Bob. Biggin Hill where the main servicing for all the Spitfires workshops are. We had a great day which included full tour of workshops & wing construction shop. You’d love it.

How lovely to hear this CD. We tend to forgot that we can still do new and exciting things as we age. Your post is very inspiring.

Fabulous! Where did you fly over? We’re currently in North Yorkshire and seen a few go over, albeit a bit faster, US jets etc 🤣

Most scariest if trips I’ve had is in a bubble shaped cooter in St Lucia 😱 never again

But I did go in a bigger copter, took only 4 over Doubtful sound NZ, even landed on the top! That gad it’s moments, didn’t know I had PAF then 🤪

Awesome Dreamer!

We can’t give up living… this is proof!

I had to be taken off a plane once because of an attack and it was luckily just starting to take off… My heart rate was 230 at the time….

…have just booked my first trip across North America since ablation in June…from Boston to LA in October…6.5 hr flight.

Thank you for the post… so encouraging!

Oh WOW, CD, how exciting! I'm jealous! Thanks so much for sharing the lovely picture. The Spitfire...what an icon, closely followed by Mr CDreamer.

I'm off to the US early tomorrow morning but hopefully no barrel rolls, can't be dealing with all that hand luggage flying around 🙂
