Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc?
hi. My mom (F, 80) has had diagnosed PMR for about 4 years. She’s been able to taper to a pretty low dose of prednisone-but this last flare was bad. I’m wondering if any of you have tried the diabetic/weight loss drugs that are out now, and if they have had any effect on your PMR? Besides reducing

Waste of time at new Endo
So that's it, no answers, "Nodules are common, try
Ozempic
" What a terrible endocrinologist! Thank you to all who even read this long post. By the way we live in US, NY.

Diabetes drug similar to Ozempic helped slow progression of Parkinson’s disease in small trial
https://www.cnbc.com/2024/04/04/drug-similar-to-
ozempic
-slowed-parkinsons-disease-in-small-trial.html And they are no longer manufacturing this older drug as it would be a "cheap" drug. It will be repurposed and cost $$$. I know I am being cynical.

Is there anyone else here on both T3 and Ozempic?
I did some research about metabolic disorders and decided to try
Ozempic
. I had to get it online because I didn't have prescription. I though after all drastic diets and other things I tried in my life I can try that as well. It turned out to be working for me.

Ozempic Question
I live in Delaware county Pennsylvania and I have unused unopened 4mg
Ozempic
that I can't tolerate anymore. Is there anyway I can recoup my money that I spent for this medication?

Jakafi/Weight Gain
Some papers say it has to do with water retention within the cells or something, others say it has an opposite
ozempic
effect, whereby the signal that tells your body you are full, does not kick in. I would like to try to understand what I can try to do to combat the gain. Full disclosure here.

Well he was awful and other than offering my daughter
Ozempic
and ordering 2 biopsies on 2 nodules. He did nothing. So he said she needed a biopsy cause nodule grew, the radiologist wrote has increased but has previously been biopsied. I said to this awful Dr, " what's the point ?

Ozempic overdosing
I don't know about any of you, but I just heard on the news that they are docing out of
Ozempic
,in a multidose vial with a needle for people to draw up and administered to themselves at will. People are overdosing, but yet they're still given them a syringe and their medicine.

Ozempic? Dr. Says it can help but...
I've been listening to those who have been using it and they report irregular heartbeat or palpitations. Has anyone else with afib used it? If so, what has been your experience?

To poop or not to poop, that is the question
I already have an issue with it because of
Ozempic
and being on dialysis. I had to stop eating oatmeal every day. I eat a ton of fiber and make sure I move during the day. I have to limit water because I cannot make it through dialysis any more than 2 hours or I have to pee.

A refreshed journey
I am apprehensive about these weight loss medications-
Ozempic
, Wegovy, Mounjauro and such; I keep telling myself not to overthink the drugs- I am not even sure if I am going to get approved or if I really want to try it.

eGFR moving up???
I was on
Ozempic
and then Wegovy for over a year. I lost enough to get on the list, but started regaining. So July 2023 I switched to Mourjaro (MJ.) It takes 6 months to get up to the full dose. Yesterday I had new labs. My eGFR is 30! HUH! I haven't been at 30 for 4+ years.

(update) B12, Peripheral Neuropathy, oh and Ozempic...
Also I told her the 1mg dose of
Ozempic
was making me vomit, and I wasn't eating (other than some dry toast) - which probably wasn't helping the B12 symptoms, but the chemist didn't have any

Tapering well so far.
Changed to Mounjaro from
Ozempic
. Queasiness less. For those suffering from
Ozempic
nausea, maybe switching could help. Unfortunately, despite a new regime of weight-training, my muscle is wasting. Of the 27 lbs I have lost, only 11 are from fat.

High blood sugar on T3+T4 Combo
We had a debate about whether Metformin or
Ozempic
could be a treatment option, however I am very reluctant to add yet more medicines into the mix. Any advice would be appreciated. I know some people have had success on Berberine.

Sick from Ozempic
I started on
Ozempic
in May of 2023 with .25 for 1month. Then to .50 for a month, and finally to 1 mg against my better judgment for a month. Told my Endo that I wanted to go back to .50 dose per week. I gave myself one dose.
